I want to be light
like neon signs
that make faces glow
pinks and oranges and blues
illuminating smiles
the brilliance of long nights
of spirit and freedomI want to be warmth
a favorite blanket
fresh from the dryer
on a day where everything
outside the window
is covered in powdered sugarI want to be adventure
pick-your-own
wildflower fields and
ice cream you eat fast
or it melts on
summer evenings where
the sun never setswhat I really want
is to be like the little things
the wonderments of the everyday
to be daily serendipity
and to give the world that joy
