The next morning at breakfast professor Flitwick handed Phoenix her timetable to find she had defense against the dark arts first period with Gryffindor which was perfect. Phoenix walked over to Gryffindor table but was stopped but Zachary and a few other Hufflepuff's.
"How are you doing Phoenix?" Zachary smiled
"Alright" Phoenix said with a fake smile
"Well we're here for you if you need to talk I know Cedric would've wanted us to keep an eye on you" Zachary said Phoenix wanted to scream at them for talking about Cedric it took everything for Phoenix not to snap.
"I gotta go class is going to start soon" Phoenix said before walking away and without eating breakfast Phoenix left the great hall in a bad mood and headed up to class.
Ron and Harry met up with Phoenix and the three walked into class seeing an beginners magic book on each desk.
"Ravenclaw on the left and Gryffindor on the right" Umbridge said in a high pitch voice. Phoenix rolled her eyes and smiled at Ron before sitting down across the room.
"Wands away" Umbridge smiled everyone looked at her confused and Harry raised his hand
"Don't we need them for the lesson?" Harry asked
"Nope we won't be needing our wands you guys aren't ready for them" Umbridge said
Phoenix scoffed and opened her book to the first page and Thought Umbridge was absolutely mad.
"Now owls, ordinary wizards levels examinations, study hard you'll be rewarded fail to do so they're will be consequences" Umbridge said smiling everyone thought she was over exaggerating and Harry was biting his tongue.
"If we're going to be attacked it won't be a free risk student" Harry said Umbridge stopped and looked at Harry
"Please raise your hand in my class" Umbridge said before walking back to the front of the class.
"It is in view that ministry that a Theoretical knowledge would be sufficient to get through your examinations which after all is what school is all about" Umbridge said Phoenix looked over to Harry who was annoyed as ever and Phoenix wanted to throw the textbook at Umbridge's toad face so bad just one hit and she'd be gone.
"how is theory supposed to prepare us?" Harry asked
"There is nothing out there dear how would you imagine what to attack children like yourself" Umbridge said
"Oh I don't know maybe lord Voldemort" Harry said Phoenix nodded and smirked as she watched Umbridge's face drop and the whole class silently looked at Harry as he said the dark lords true name.
"To make this quite plain you have been told by a certain dark wizard is at large lance again—it. Is. A. Lie" Dolores said as she walked up to Harry's desk Phoenix and Ron glared at Umbridge as she eyed Harry.
"It's not a lie I saw him! I fought him!!" Harry said angrily
"DETENTION!! Mr. Potter" Umbridge shouted
"So according to you!!" Phoenix shouted as she stood from her seat, Umbridge turned to Phoenix and looked her up and down
"My brother Cedric Diggory dropped dead of his own accord" Phoenix said angrily
"Your brother's death was a tragic accident" Umbridge said glaring at Phoenix, Phoenix clenched her fist hard hearing those words come out of her mouth.
"It was murder!! Voldemort killed him!!" Phoenix shouted
"ENOUGH!!!" Umbridge shouted causing Phoenix to bit her tongue and everyone was now looking at Phoenix as her face was red she was absolutely livid. Phoenix knew the truth and nobody believed her and Harry which made her even more mad
