While growing up in poverty, Steve probably didnt get much for his birthday. No cake, one or zero presents. His Mom probably had to work. So, when Bucky would drag him out to watch fireworks, that was almost like a present. Fireworks were only on his birthday, so it felt like they were just for him. And that's why he would probably love fireworks through everything. Despite war and some PTSD, he still has a soft spot for fireworks. Because they made him feel like he mattered.
