The melody of the night, I embrace
The stars whisper her name over again
Her laughing smile is what I constantly chase.
Her skin is smooth, flawless as porcelain
Deadly nightshade intertwines her long hair
Black and endless are her questioning eyes
Even in the dark, her heart is true and fair
See her on the cliff face as the sun dies.
Her voice grips me, as strong as a siren
A game is all she asks, so roll her dice
Her laugh as bright as those of schoolchildren
Though her true nature, it is but a vice
Don't let her mask of love bring your guard down
Lady Midnight won't be the one to drown
