CHAPTER TEN

"Oh my god!" Tili ni Jonabel at saka si Empress ay ngumiti, pero sa video call lang kami.

"Why do I smell love? Hmn? Love is in the air ata iyon eh? Tama ba ako? Hehe."

Pinanlakihan ko ng mata si Jonabel. Tumawa lang siya, si Empress lang ay nakangiti.

"I am not in love! I was just... I don't know, it's my first time to feel these."

"Good for you then." Empress said, she's smiling but I think someone's bothering her.

"You okay there, Empress? May hindi ka ba sinasabi sa amin?" I asked while doing my make-ups.

Sandali siyang natigilan at akmang sasalita nang makarinig kami ng ingay, parang ingay ng barko.

"Did I heard something. Where are you right now Empress? Ah! You're in a vacation, yet you didn't tell us?! Oh my god ka talaga Empress!" Sigaw ni Jonabel na kumakain ng pancake.

Empress nodded before laughing. But I know it was fake. "Sige na nga. Ibababa ko na ito ha? And don't told everyone that I just talked with you guys, kahit sa mga magulang ko at sa mga kapatid ko. Please? Just keep it as a secret."

Bago pa kami makapagtanong ay nagsalita ulit siya. "Sige na guys ba-bye! Love you guys and ingat. Don't tell any of them because I'd go crazy." Tumawa siya. "Sige na." And there she left.

Napatigil ako sa pag-aayos ng make-up ko at napatigil rin si Jonabel sa pagkain niya.

"Is something up with her?" Magkasabay naming tanong. We both shrugged our shoulder.

"I hope she's fine." Jonabel said.

I sighed. "Yeah. I hope so too..." Then I glanced at the clock. It's 7 o'clock in the morning and I have to go to work. "Off to work, bye!" I said to Jonabel.

She smiled. "Okay. Take care." She said before she ended our Video call.

I sighed before I left my apartment. I rode a taxi and then I told the address. I have the smile on my face until I reached my office. When I entered the room, I was shocked when sir Vinn was seating onto my swivel chair. I cleared my throat before entering my office.

I put down my bag onto my table before finally facing him.

Serious face again.

I smiled at him. "Good morning sir." I greeted. I expect him to greet back like what he always did this past few days. Instead he walk towards me. Until I felt my back on my table.

Inilapit niya ang mukha niya sa akin.

"Sir! What are you doing?"

He smiled while looking at my eyes. "Pretty."

"Are you nuts?!"

Inilapit niya ang bibig niya sa teynga ko kaya natigilan ako. "I'm not. But I think I'm going nuts." This time I pushed him. He grinned from ear to ear.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "What are you saying?!"

Umayos siya nang tayo saka inayos ang jacket niya. "Nothing." He even put his hands in his pocket before turning his back on me. "Prepare for 8:00. You're coming with me."

He said before closing the door. I didn't even have the chance to ask.

"Sir. Where do exactly are we going?" I kept on asking him while he is driving.

Amg tahimik lang talaga niya, walang silbi ang mga tanong ko, hindi siya sumasagot. Kaunti nalang feeling ko sasabog ako sa galit at inis.

"Sir!"
