Adrien's POV

That girl...

When I found her in the elevator, in all honesty-

I couldn't think straight.

I just couldn't help but stare at her. Over and over again.

Her limp frame... She was so fragile-so delicate-

I scoffed, huffing as I ran further and further.

She had know idea how to fight or fend for herself did she? I could've killed her and she wouldn't have even fought back-

I should've killed her.

I could have saved her a lot of pain- Not to mention, it would've been a lot easier for me to infiltrate.

I glanced behind myself, panting.

The girl- or Marinette- was walking on a yellow trail with her friend- what was her name-Ally-Alix..?

Should I follow them?

I shook off the thought. I had only one goal.

Don't be seen-

Don't get distracted-

I needed to get as far from her as possible.

If I be more careful and hide out- this could work. Sure Ally-er-Alix and Marinette saw me. But that was it-

I just gotta cover up my tracks, until I find it-

I just gotta find the miracle box.

My heart rose and crashed out of my chest as I heard a loud crack.

Had I already been found- what was-

"Mew!"

I paused, looking down at my knee.

It was a cat.

A really soft one too. It's tail stuck out like a sore thumb; brushing against my leg.

I looked around- it didn't have an owner. Made sense though-

It's body looked fairly skinny- like It hadn't been fed in a long time. I could see it's ribs sticking out of its belly's pink flesh. It was an ugly sight. Poor kitten.

I didn't want to get close, in fear of getting bitten, but still I felt my body crouch down to meet his eye level.

It's eyes- they were-

Hesitantly, the cat sniffed my leg before turning around.

As it was walking away, a shiny green tag flapped from the side of his tail.

In curiosity, I ran back to the cat and grabbed it's lower back.

It yowled in warning. That's probably when I should've stopped- I didn't though- Carefully maneuvering my fingers, I lifted the tag stapled to the cat to read the lettering:
