I woke up this morning with a bouquet of roses next to my bed.
"I want you to know that you're beautiful." The note on the side said. "Love, Melo."
I smiled and smelled the beautiful roses. I placed them back on the night stand and put on my silk robe.

I went downstairs and found Lamelo preparing breakfast. I smiled. It was nice to see him doing something productive.
He hugged me. "Good morning."
He then, bent down to my stomach. "Good morning my son." He said giving it a kiss.

"Son? No it's gonna be a girl." I laughed.
"It better be a boy." Lamelo frowned while getting up. I'm nervous for tomorrow, I hope our baby is doing okay.

"She seems to be doing fine." I grinned.
"Ohhh, you mean he right?" Lamelo asked.
We both laughed while having our baby's gender debate.

I really wanted a little girl, so she can be just like her mommy. Just like me.

"What are you making?" I asked walking to Lamelo's side.

"Eggs, bacon, grits, toast." He said. "Or would you like something else?" He asked looking at my stomach.
The baby always made me want all sorts of things.
"No Lamelo, that sounds just right."

We sat down at the table and blessed our food beginning to eat.
"So I have a game today." Lamelo said.
"We don't have to fly out do we?" I asked. "It's not safe for the baby."
"Nope. It's a home game." He said. "But yes, I recommend you don't come to the away games."

"I don't wanna hurt my little man." Lamelo said poking out his lip.
I rolled my eyes. I was determined for a baby girl. MY baby girl.

"So what do I wear for today?" I asked.
"Wear a dress. Something nice for your bump to show."
"But why? People are gonna talk about me."

"Who cares? I want everyone to know that you're mine."
"Melooo.." I groaned.
"Okay well at least let em know the baby is mine. And not Lonzo's."

I smiled when he said that. I don't know why but I just did.

The afternoon came and I was in my bathroom putting on my makeup.
Lamelo walked past my room and then came back to let himself in.
He leaned against the wall in the bathroom.

"Why do you wear all that makeup?" He asked. "You're gorgeous without it."

"As much as I appreciate your compliment Lamelo, I like to wear makeup because it enhances my looks." I said looking back at him.

"Eh. You're beautiful either way." He said shrugging.

I was not ready for this game. I was nervous about what people were gonna think about me, more so what they were gonna SAY about me.
