Two days went by and I've been really quiet, I never spoke a word to Silver and we've become somewhat distant than we already were. I haven't seen Sky either and honestly, I'm quite relieved because no one the heck is bothering me!
Yesterday had given me the courage to bath in the falls, I was beyond thankful that Silver was minding his own business elsewhere for it would be really akward if he'd see me. Nandito na rin ako ngayon sa loob ng silid at hindi na lumabas pa. I avoided him and obviously he doesn't give a crap about it, why would he?
Nagitla ako nang maramdamang pumasok siya bigla. He covered the fences with black curtains that he had destroyed, probably to hide it so no one would notice. Napatikhim lamang ako, walang may nagsalita sa aming dalawa, at tila nabibingi ako sa lakas ng tahimik.
May kumatok sa pinto kaya't napatayo agad ako kasabay nang pagbukas nito. Kaagad na nakita ko ay ang nakataas kilay na si Miss Pink.
'You're alive and well?' that's the only thing I could think of as soon as I've seen her face.
"Miss Pink," I called.
"Cassidy," she said with clear emphasis. "Use my second name, will you? Pink sounds sickening," she glanced at me from head to toe before her gaze narrowed when she looked at Silver behind me. Napaismid siya.
"Odd. I mean, it's not him to help a stranger, isn't it? Or even let a mere girl live," she lowered her voice, a hint of sarcasm and confusion was vivid all over her face. "You may leave." napayuko na lang ako bago nauna lumabas.
I looked back and saw them talking, nakita ko na parang ito'y sarkastikong pinagsabihan si Silver ni Miss Cassidy. I saw him roll his eyes in annoyance before heading to the other direction. On the other hand, I found myself walking towards the elevator to be able to take a shower back to my room again and get change. I changed into this jogger and shirt I've received days ago, and when I dried up my hair, I did the same process of tying up my hair into a ponytail.
"Azami!" narinig kong tawag ni Blytha nang makalabas ako sa kwarto. Magkasama-sama sila nina Leona at 'yung magpinsan. They all looked so shocked and worried.
Napatigil ako.
Were they... Waiting for me all along?
"Oh my goodness," Leona gasped and they all hugged me to my surprise.
"Um, okey lang ako." sabi ko sa kanila although of course it's a lie.
"Good to know," they smiled, but their faces hinted that something else was quite bothering them.
"Bakit?" I raised my brows.
"May nakatakas sa building." mahinang saad ni Jaslynn kaya napaawang nang konti ang bibig ko. I was about to speak again but Karlynn immediately inserted.
"Nakatakas nga siya pero hindi naman nakaligtas, when he stepped out, he exploded just like the others who didn't want to stick by the rules anymore. It seems like there's a dangerous barrier out there."
Nakita kong napasandal si Blytha sa pader, dismayado at mukhang nawawalan na ng pag-asa. "Diba top 10 siya?" tumango si Leona.
"Yes he is, pero siguradong walang may nagsabi sa kanya na pwede na siyang makalabas. Tila siya lang ang nagdesisyon lumabas kahapon." Leona explained and Karlynn went closer to her.
"Ilan pa lamang ba sila 'yung mga nakabalik dito? 'Yung mga nasali sa list of Darkness?" tanong ni Karlynn.
"Apat pa lamang. 'Yung iba ay may misyon pa. Kaya nga parami na tayo nang parami eh. Look at Melissa, she got you two in here that fast, how much more the others? I heard there are five new people who got in earlier."
