Hybrids age faster. When Tommy was 8, Wilbur was 16 and Sally got pregnant. Sally and Wilbur divorced and Wilbur got custody because Sally didn't want to have to look after her son. Hybrids can hide their features but it takes a lot of energy and their hybrid features can pop out randomly. Tommy gets a tail, ears, a longer and more fox-like nose and fur over his face. When hybrids have their features out, the features take 24 hours to go. Fox hybrids feel strong desires for berries whether or not they have their hybrid features out. Also, Fundy is cannonically trans. As Wilbur said, during L'manberg times, "He was born a girl but he said he'd rather be a guy and we were okay with that." Fundy and Tommy have a great relationship and recognise each other as family.
Uncle and nephew, Fundy and Tommy had lots of secrets. The fact that Fundy was in contact with Sally, the fact that Tommy was half fox. Their best kept secrets. Not even Tubbo knew Tommy was a hybrid. Our tale starts on a summers day. Fundy was plaiting Tommy's long hair while Tommy read a book aloud. They were appreciating the sun when suddenly Tommy's fox ears popped out.
Tommy: SHIT!
Fundy: Wait, how are we going to hide them for now?
Tommy: I don't know! Let's just run to my house! I could have like a hat or some shit.
Fundy: It's a shack, not a house.
Fundy and Tommy dash to Tommy's shack (Editors note: Take that, Tommy) and the two boys rummaged through Tommy's chest.
Fundy: Eww... Why do you have a rotten sandwich in there. It looks like it's over a year old and...
Tommy: Stop patronising me, Fun.
Fundy: Well, as I was saying... Dad's old beanie is here...
Fundy looked on the verge of tears. Tommy rubbed Fundy's ears which relaxed the young hybrid. Fundy really missed his late father. As did Tommy. The two were probably closest to the old president but everything just seemed to have gone... Downhill....
Tommy: My amazing nephew, how about we go get ice-cream?
Fundy: BUT-
Tommy: No no Fundy. You need comfort food.
Fundy: TOMMY, YOUR!
Tommy though didn't listen to the fox. He dragged his nephew to the ice-cream shop, past the staring people, past Tubbo. Tommy just didn't realise what he'd done, what secrets he'd exposed to the world.
