Chris rolled on the bed and rested on his back, raising an arm above his head. His eyes staring at the ceiling. It was raining. He could hear the droplets tapping against the glass in different tunes. His head was pounding a little for he had had a terrible night, waking up several times as he noticed the bed empty by his side. Ellie slept at the guests room with Heaven. It hadn't been a decision made because the baby was having a bad night. It was a decision she made after their conversation at the studio. He knew he had hurt her with his decision, but he had to be honest and not mislead her. Her words were fatal though. It had never crossed his mind that she would take his decision as them growing apart. He puffed and rubbed his face with his thoughts running a mile per millisecond first thing in the morning, scared with the sudden direction his marriage could be taking. Chris then pulled the sheet away and sat on the bed, taking another deep breath. Finally, he got up and went to the door of the bedroom, just in shorts and barefoot, he opened it and got out. When he looked at the end of the hallway, he saw the door of the guests room slightly opened, so he concluded she was awake. He went there. His heart raced so much as he stopped in front of the door, afraid to even knock. He stopped frozen undecided about what to do.

Ellie raised her head of her pillow as she felt a presence outside. She hadn't heard steps, but somehow she felt his presence at the other side of the door. Heaven was sleeping by her side after having the first meal of the morning and she had been crying meanwhile. She loved him and the last thing she wanted was to end their marriage and at the same time, she was feeling trapped in it but she hadn't shared that deep feeling with anyone. Suddenly, she felt a soft knock and she quickly cleaned her eyes, feeling her heart starting to race.

"Ellie..." She heard him call quietly from the outside. "Ellie..." Chris insisted.

"What?" Ellie asked praying her voice would be firm.

She saw the door opening slowly and then his figure appearing just in a pair of black cotton shorts that he slept on. His hair still tangled from the bed. His eyes puffy and he looked so restless. Ellie knew he hadn't had a good night sleep and that broke her heart. Still, the most beautiful man she has ever seen. Father of her daughter. Her husband. Idol of thousands. Her biggest love. Her momentaneous thoughts stopped there... her biggest love. Chris was her sole love. She never loved anyone before him. Would she ever be able to love anyone after him?

"You can come in." Ellie said as he didn't get inside.

Chris entered the bedroom and approached her in silence and then sat at the edge of the bed and looked down at his baby girl sleeping so peacefully. He smiled seeing her small lips parted, completely passed out in her sleep.

"She's tired." He commented, running the tip of his fingers on her sparse hair. "She's sleeps like this when she's exhausted."

"She sucked her bottle too fast." Ellie looked at him, and that's when he noticed her eyes so irritated. "She got exhausted." Ellie shrugged. "You know how she is..."

"We need to talk." Chris told her and Ellie shook her head. "Ellie!" He grabbed her on her chin and made her look up at him. "We do!" Chris insisted. "We can't just leave it like yesterday."

"But not now." Ellie pulled away from his grip and looked at the window. "Can you stay with Heaven today?" She asked him.

"Why?" Ellie looked back at him.

"It's raining..." She pointed out at the window. "I need to go see gowns with my sister... She asked me to go with her." Ellie looked in his eyes, waiting for him to say something but Chris just stared back at her. "It's ok... I can take her with me." Chris noticed the roll of her eyes showing impatience and resignation.
