A few weeks later, Annabelle got woken up by children shouting. She walked out of her room and went to the window to check what was going on. As she looked out of the window, she realised, that Joanne and her family were back in The Village. She saw them walk inside their house with their suitcases. Annabelle decided to open the window and tell Joanne to come and play.
"Joanne!" Annabelle shouted.
"Hi Annabelle!" shouted Joanne.
"Come to my house to play when you finish unpacking!" shouted Annabelle.
"Ok, I'll come soon!" shouted Joanne.
And then she went into her house.Annabelle quickly ate breakfast and gave Wolfy his breakfast. Then, she ran upstairs and got ready. As soon as she had finished, Joanne knocked on her door.
"Hi Joanne!" Annabelle exclaimed.
"Hi Annabelle!" exclaimed Joanne, while walking into Annabelle's house.
"You know that secret place I was telling you about?" said Annabelle.
"Yeah I remember that." said Joanne.
"Do you want to go there?" asked Annabelle.
"Of course I do!" exclaimed Joanne.Annabelle opened the garden door and she, Wolfy and Joanne went outside. She then flapped the loose part of the gate up, so they could go into the forest.
After a few minutes of running threw the forest, Joanne got tired.
"You run all of this way to that cool spot?" asked Joanne panting.
"Yep, keep up come on! With that pace we won't be back until the evening." laughed Annabelle.
"Fine, but slow down." said Joanne. After a while, they got to the hill.
"This is where Wolfy and I play fetch everyday." said Annabelle.
"Wow this place really is nice." said Joanne.
"Well you haven't seen anything yet." said Annabelle.
She started walking up the hill and Wolfy and Joanne followed her.
"You can see the whole of The City from here. It's even nicer at night." said Annabelle.
"Now I realise why you love this place so much, it's beautiful." said Joanne. After playing with Wolfy, they started walking back to Annabelle's house.
"Do you prefer The City or The Village?" Annabelle asked Joanne.
"Um I don't know actually. I like The Village, it's nice and calm, but my lots of my family members live in The City, so it's nice going there. However, my house in The Village is better than my aunt's and uncle's house in The City. It's a lot less cramped. I mean, we have the same amount of rooms, but now I have my own room." explained Joanne.
"Wait, you got your own room when your 2 youngest siblings were born right?" asked Annabelle.
"Yeah, before I shared a room with my 2 sisters, and my brother had his own room. When my mum was pregnant with my youngest sister and brother, my parents decided I should get my own room, as 4 people in one room would get a bit crowded. So, my parents gave me their room and now they sleep in the living room. After my youngest siblings were born, my 3 sisters have one room, and my 2 brothers have another, and I have my own." explained Joanne.
"Oh yeah I remember that. You and your siblings had sleepovers at my house when your parents were renovating." said Annabelle.
"Yeah! And also, it's fun being in The Village, because you, my best friend, lives here." said Joanne. They kept walking through the forest until they got to Annabelle's house.
