Landyn's First Full Moon

It's been a pretty long two weeks. Landyn's anger has gotten completely out of control. Small things have set her off and her claws have come out while sitting in class.

The only one that somewhat calms her down beside me is Penelope. It's infuriating how Penelope might be Landyn's anchor. Of all people.

Tonight's her first full moon; Hope and I are taking her out into the wood and making sure she stays chained to a tree. She'd easily bust out of the cells in the school.

I suggested Hope use a boundary spell to just keep Landyn inside the cell no matter what she tries to do. Hope said it was safer for the other students, at least for the first full moon, that Landyn be outside.

I hesitantly agreed. I knew Hope had some ulterior motive for wanting to chain her ex to a tree all night. I also wanted to keep the school safe. After all I couldn't endanger my new home over a mistake.

Landyn was talking to Penelope as Hope and I got things ready. Penelope is the only person I feel comfortable leaving alone with Landyn since she's tuned. I also didn't care too much what happened to her, if there were to be an accident.

If she never done that stupid spell; I never would have agreed to help Landyn. Landyn wouldn't have died one last time as a phoenix and came back a werewolf. My new home wouldn't be in danger.

If hunters even got a whiff of Landyn turning, they'll be here. And that puts everyone at this school in danger. Including my Hope.

I could keep it under wraps if I can teach her control before a tragedy. She loses control and hurts a human... it's over for me.

I could flee and if I'm lucky they will follow me and keep the school safe, but Hope won't stay. Not if I leave and she knows I'm in danger. I could also flee but still lead them back to the school and they could do what they did at my house, and everyone would be gone. I couldn't live with that.

I kept an extremely close eye on Landyn especially since she's struggling so much with control. I even had Hope teleport us back to Beacon Hills to get my family's medallion and I've used it to teach her my family's mantra: Alpha, Beta, Omega

It has calmed her down a few times when Penelope wasn't there. She still seemed to be agitated. I went back to Beacon Hills to ask Satomi for help on how to teach her control.

She insisted I used the mantra she follows and the one she teaches all her wolves.

"Three things cannot long be hidden: The Sun, The Moon, and The Truth."

Satomi's mantra is what I'm going to used tonight. She should be able to breathe through the pain of the shift reciting those words.

"You ready for tonight?" Penelope asked Landyn worriedly.

"As much as I can be. I just don't want to hurt anyone." She had a sad expression on her face.

It's been rare when Landyn has shown anything other but anger and bravado. When she has it's been mainly with Penelope. I really didn't want Penelope to be one of the people I had to trust. I also can't choose who becomes Landyn's anchor.

"We got to go soon Landyn." I reminder her as I grabbed the last two bag and took them to Hope's car.

I put the bags in the trunk of her car and sighed as I closed the trunk.

"What's on your mind princess?" Hope's voice rang through my ears, and she hugged me from behind.

I sank into her warm embrace. I always felt so at peace in her arms. Nothing could ever go wrong while I was there. It was the safest place I would ever be.

"I miss this." I whispered a tear in my eye.

"I miss this too." She whispered in my ear.

I turned around in her arms to see her smiling at me lovingly. I smiled wrapping my arms around her neck pulling her in to a much-needed kiss.

Ever since Landyn's turning, we've spent less time together like this. Sure, we'd be together, but I couldn't just kiss my girlfriend whenever because we were too busy making sure her ex didn't hurt anyone.

We went from flirting all the time and not keeping our hands to ourselves to being on alert and relying on the other to keep the secret. Landyn's turning can't be known.

I hated how much this has changed things with Hope. I just want one day for us to just be us again.

"Okay," She smiled widely. "You owe me at least three kisses throughout the day from now on. Landyn might be our priority right now but, I deserve my kisses."

I chuckled. "All the kisses."

I pulled her in for another kiss biting her lip to deepen the kiss. She gladly obliged.

She pulled away breathless. She smiled at me and pecked my lips once more. She was just about to say something when we heard Landyn.

"Are you guys really chaining me to a tree?" She asked concerned but a hint of annoyance in her voice.

"Yes!" Hope rolled her eyes hugging me tighter.

I laughed and kissed her once more before pulling away for us to get in the car.

"What are three things that cannot long be hidden?" I asked Landyn as she groaned through the pain of shift beginning.

Hope finished tightening the chains and went back in the car. The car was facing the tree.

Landyn began growling lowly and tugged on the chains. "This— Hurts!" She yelled.

I put my hand on her shoulder and made her look at me. I took a deep breathe.

"Repeat after me. Three things cannot long be hidden..."

"Three... things... cannot... long... be... hidden..." she breathed deeply between each word.

"The sun, the moon, the truth..."

"The... sun... the moon... the truth..."

I saw the pain begin to ease on her face. "Say it again." I stepped back and watched her.

"The sun... the Moon... the truth..." she breathed more evenly.

"The sun, the moon, the truth." She smiled.

"It doesn't hurt anymore." She smiled gratefully at me.

Hope hopped out of the car. "Might not hurt anymore but doesn't mean you're getting unchained." She smirked grabbing my hand pulling me back to the car.

"Hey! Don't leave me—"

Hope turned to Landyn's direction still smirking. "Silencio."

My heightened hearing could hear her mumbles and I almost felt bad. Except Hope pushed me against the car and kissed me roughly. I completely forgot about Landyn.

I kissed her back pushing off the car just to open the door. She bit my lip teasingly before pulling away and pulling me into the backseat of the car.
