i laid on my side,
cheek dented in the pillow;
as an eye squinted,
at the bright morning sun.

sighing, i shifted;
a tear rolled,
down the cheek, swarming the head,
with memories.

laughters, giggles;
wasn't the best,
wasn't the worst in the World either;
just you, me and us.

another tear rolled down, disappearing in hair,
as i laid back, staring into nothingness;
slave to thy lifeline,
eagerly waiting for the cupid that never arrived.

pulled up the blanket,
the only remaining source of warmth;
that bright sun sighed and gloomed away,
as the ice box, left untouched, froze up again.

out they saw the calm,
the calm, deep, dark ocean;
my storm still raging,
my storm still loud.

the eye stood right there, yet i didn't fly,
maybe that wasn't the escape i needed;
i retreated, home, here i come,
my serenity.

A/N: this is probably my best try so far *whistles*.
