chapter eight: table five

Irenes POV:
  I took a seat beside Jayden and laid out my books on the table . I didn't talk to him neither did I look at him because all I felt was rage against him but now was not the time to let my feelings get in the way if I wanted to keep this going .
      " Hey " I heard a deep masculine voice . I turned my head to trace where the owner of the voice only to meet Jayden smiling at me . I'm not going to deny it he has really charming smile now that I look at him closely.
  " Hey " I reply giving him a small smile
   " I'm Jayden and those idiots over there are  Duncan  and Justin he says pointing two the two hot guys in the corner.
" Nice to meet you Jayden " I reply smiling at him.
  "Are you going to come for lunch today ?" He asks oh damnit he is really good at making a conversation but that's not the point .
   " I don't know actually , school lunches are usually very bad maybe I'll just drive over to Starbucks and get food " i reply giving him a pondering look
      " Oh come on you should join us , if there's one thing Archwood High does best it's serving you the best lunch . They literally serve Nutella and jelly tots as parts of food which is totally on point " he says giving me the you -know - the- vibe  look .
     And seriously who says no to Nutella and jelly tots?
      " Okay I'll join you " I say giving in
     " Cool  meet us at table five I'm sure the others would be pleased to have you " he says .
    Ohhh table five so that's where all the popular kids sat .I never knew because I never went to the cafeteria and ninety percent of my day was usually spent crying in the toilet stalls .
        " Mr Smith enough flirting please " says Mr Maxime
  The whole class burst into laughter , on a serious note I don't know how that's funny but who am I not to laugh .
    On the contrary I've not forgotten about Alexis  . I text Alexis with my second phone and tell her to meet me in the girls bathroom during lunch. The class goes by and the bells for lunch is jingled , I pack my things into my bag and keep them in my locker and walk away into the girls bathroom.
      I meet Alexis in the bathroom she eyes me cautiously as if to make a snarky comment she says  " hey I'm Alexis nice to meet you" she says stretching her hand to me . I shake her hand back in return
     " Where could Constantine be? I've not seen her in weeks now she sends me a mystery message to meet up in the girls bathroom now she's nowhere to be found " Alexis says as she buries her hands in her hair  and paces round the bathroom.
     " Lexi" I say staring into her eyes
    " What ! I'm sorry what did you just call me because there's only one person that calls me by that name and it's certainly not you " she says looking at me as if I'd come out of the blues
     " I'm Constantine ,Lexi" I say giving her a defeated look
     " Look here Irene stop playing cranky jokes with me because it sure as hell isn't working " she says it's obvious she's already getting angry .
     I bring out my phone and decide to dial Lexis number . Her phone screen lights up with my name on it . She looks at it then looks at me .I turn my screen to her so she can see her number  being dailed on my phone .
     She looks short of words , speechless and pale .
     " Are you really Stance?" She asks as tears begin to cloud her eyes
   "Yes Lexi I am Stance"
  " How come you're like this ? This is not the Stance I know " she says as she walks up to cup my cheeks
    " Long story do you mind coming over to my place today and I'll explain everything to you ?"
    " I'll do just that " she says as she begins to wipe away her tear stained cheeks
"I've missed you so much Lexi " I say as I walk up to her to wrap her in a bear hug
     "Ive missed you too Stance " she says
   " You can't go around calling me that Lexi my name is Irene "
    " Whatever " she says as she nuzzles her faces into the crook of my neck .
   After our little reunion I went to the cafeteria it was time for my plan to start fully
   I walk into the cafeteria and the amazing smell of chicken nuggets and lasagna welcomes my nostrils . Just as I was about to pick a tray to get my food it was snatched from my hands , I look up to see my snatcher it was none other than Jayden
    "Just go and have your seat baby girl I'll bring your lunch over to the table" he says turning on his heels to go and get food .
    Ouuu he is trying hard and I'm liking this so this is what it feels like to be beautiful and popular .
   I walk up to table five and take a seat beside Anita , my skin is crawling right now because she's this close to me but I have no choice
       " Irene where do you shop normally ? Do you order or you have connections or something because the booty short you wearing is supposed to be out next week and you already have it  spill me your links " Beatrice says as she smiles at me literally awaiting my response
" I can't say its really connections but my cousin is the manger at chanel so I hope you understand "
" You're too modest Irene please be informal with me" she says batting her fake lashes at me
    " Okay" I say laughing a little
   "Hey guys" Jayden says as he joins us at the table .He hands over my tray filled with Nutella and cheese pizza to me
Is this guy a Greek god or something these are my two best foods . I dig in with courtsey so as to not avoid being looked as a cave woman .
   Well the day came to an abrupt end . I packed my books and headed to my car when I met Jayden standing by  my car .
   I walked up to him
" Hey what are you doing "
" Well ...um..... I was just wondering if you'd  like TO COME OVER TO MY HOUSE ON FRIDAY " he asks as he scratches the back of his head
   " You want me to come to your house?" I asked clearly shocked

  " Yess yunno just to hang out and stuffs " he says .
Is he blushing cause his face is literally painted red
   " Yes I'd love to "
" Good I'll pick you up on Friday "he says as he turns on his heels and begins to walk away
    "Oh my god this is so fucking amazing " I say to myself as I get in my car and drive away
