Elliott woke up to her brother quietly, (not so quietly) stomping around the house, she turned over to lay flat on her stomach, covering her ears with a pillow to block out the sounds of her brother

the girl knew her dad had left for a few days, he usually left for days on end to stay at his drug dealers house, the drug dealer that mostly every person knew, even if they were a kook

"Jamie maybank im trying to sleep" she yelled, elliott knew he got the message when she heard his stomping stop, turning into little tiny taps on the hard wood floors

"sorry" he yelled back, making her smile a bit as she snuggled farther into her pillow

Right as she was about to doze off again a slam of the front door happened, making the girl widen her eyes and scramble to lock her bedroom door

"JJ?" she asked, leaning against the door to hear if he was talking back to her. no response

she sighed in relief, thankful her father hadn't come home, what made her confused was the way her brother slammed the door, he only slammed the door when he was pissed off or sad, if he was pissed she didn't know what it would be about

Elliott walked over to her side table drawer, opening it to grab her journal, upon seeing it not there she panicked, quickly checking her other side table, not there.

within seconds the room was destroyed, the bed covers now on the floor, all drawers open, clothes scattered around her room, her trash can accidentally knocked over

sitting against her wall she tried to think about where she had it last, she tightened her grip around her knees, remembering at the kegger when rafe had came and sat next to her

"of fucking course that dickhead has it" she groaned, the girl was quick to get ready, wanting to get over to the cameron's quickly

She stumbled out the door, realizing JJ's bike was still at John B's, "fucking JJ" she yelled, already on her way to the cameron's, to her currently, walking was not an option

her laces of her converses were still untied, she had time to tie them but she didn't, she couldn't risk rafe reading everything in that, even though she knew he probably already had

Rafe cameron was a dick and only cared about himself, so him having the journal and not reading it was just a dream, her legs had started to ache as she crossed the bridge to figure eight, she had to sneak in the trees to get to the cameron's, she didn't dare be caught

if she was caught any kook would instantly report her to the police, everyone knew the maybanks history and what the family was like, but they failed to notice the good in the children, they only saw them as drug addicts or criminals just like their father

she stopped behind a tree that lined the cameron's front yard, putting her hands on her knees in attempt to catch her breath, she saw the oldest cameron siblings bike outside the house, seeing he was home
