"But how exactly does the force work master Yaddle?" Asked the young Mirialan girl standing next to me. This girl was named Vernestra Rwoh and she would later become my best friend and the youngest Member of the order to become a full Jedi knight.

That lesson is my first memory. I was a youngling at the time, barely four years old and already being taught about the force. The Jedi always saw it best to start a child on the Jedi path as early as possible.
After another few years I completed the usual Jedi initiate trials. Then began the padawan tournament.
The padawan tournament is when the masters looking for apprentices watch as the younglings duel each other. The masters then choose which youngling to take on as their padawan.
"Just relax, you'll do fine" said Reath Silas as he walked up next to me. "At least you're good at dueling" he said with a sigh. Reath was never very good at dueling, he had always hoped that he'd become the temple librarian since he was better at academic stuff.
