Part 47: birthday party + surprise

Birthday party:
The party was going in full swing. Ranbir was surrounded by his friends along with Aryan and Prachi was busy with Shahana and Pragya.

After some time, the cake was brought and Ranbir went there.
His eyes were searching Prachi as she wasn't there.
Shahana:"before cake cutting, we have a little surprise for Ranbir."
Shahana signed Aryan who turned on a projector displaying all Ranbir's childhood pictures.

Prachi, on the mike:"this is the story of a boy whose favorite hobby was to prank everyone and be mischievous all the time. He would trouble each and everyone. But is also loved by everyone."
They showed some childhood videos of their where Ranbir was pranking everyone.
Everyone smiled remembering his antics.
Vikram:"you should have been punished for all thus."
Ranbir:"what dad. Those were pranks. I was small but that doesn't mean i won't do it now."
He high five Aryan.
Vikram:"look at him. Today is your birthday, i will leave you."
After that they cut the cake. And fed everyone. He came to Prachi last and whispered to her.
Ranbir:"kept the best for the last."
Prachi smilingly fed him first and then he fed her.

Prachi:"happy birthday."
Aryan interrupted them as he put the cake frosting on Ranbir's face.
Aryan, laughing and loudly:"happy birthday bro."

Ranbir:"Aryan, you are gone."
He chased him around the people.
Pragya and Pallavi served the guests the cake.
Prachi, to Shahana:"where did the boys go? Ranbir won't leave Aryan today."

Shahana:"Aryan deserves it today."
Ranbir came to them and held Prachi's hand. Aryan also joined them.

Aryan was laughing at Ranbir.
Ranbir:"laugh laugh,i won't spare you for your birthday."
The girls chuckled.
Ranbir:"help me removing these."
Prachi nodded and followed him to his room.

He took her inside the washroom and Prachi took the face towel to clean him up.
She was wiping his face while Ranbir was admiring her lovingly.
Ranbir held her by the waist to bring her closer.
Ranbir:"you know, this is my best birthday. I have everything this year. And my birthday wish is that all of this stays the same as it is right now."

He kissed the tip of her nose.
Prachi:"even if I pray for the same."

Prachi:"birthday boy is cleaned up. Let's go."
She pulled him outside the washroom and was about to head out of the room. But he pulled her back.
Ranbir:"i want you to be part of this special room for tonight. Stay with me here after the party."
Prachi:"sure, with pleasure."

He moved her hair and put it behind her ear. He kissed her forehead.
At the same time, Arhana barged into the room. Pranbir jerked apart.
Arhana::"sorry sorry."
Shahana:"at least you should have locked the door, Ranbir."
Aryan:"your dad is calling for an announcement but I will tell them to wait. You continue your romance."

Ranbir:"you are telling me to romance after interrupting it. Great."
Aryan:"you can't romance my sister until i am with you. I won't let it happen..."
Ranbir:"you..."
Aryan ran out of the room with Ranbir following him.
Shahana looked at a laughing Prachi.
Shahana:"my sister is glowing with love today. Ranbir's effect."
Prachi blushed hearing her. Shahana laughed at her.

Shahana:"let's go."
They all joined the party back.
Vikram and Pallavi went on stage and spoke.
Vikram:"Abhi is my old friend, and today this friend is asking a birthday gift for his son in front of everyone from Abhi and Pragya."

Abhigya looked at each other confused.
Pallavi:"Abhi, Pragya, as a gift, we are asking your daughter for our son..."
Vikram:@if you guys agree, we want to have Prachi and Ranbir's Roka today, right here and right now."
Pranbir looked at each other.

Everyone was super happy hearing that.
Shahana side hugged Prachi in excitement.
Abhigya also looked at each other and agreed.

Vikram:"Ranbir, so shocked..."
Ranbir nodded yes still in thoughts.

Pallavi:"come here..." she brought Ranbir on the stage and Pragya also brought Prachi and made her sit next to Ranbir.

(I don't know the rituals and don't want to write something wrong)
During the ritual, Pranbir looked at each other lovingly.
They were happy that everyone has accepted their relationship wholeheartedly.
Pallavi and Abhi also... the one who opposed it in the beginning.
Pallavi made Prachi wear the stole. Seeking this as an opportunity, Ranbir held her hand and covered their entangled hands with the stole.

He knew Prachi was very emotional at this time.
They completed all rituals and took everyone's blessings.

Pragya kissed Prachi's forehead.
Pragya, emotionally:"my little Prachi has grown so fast..."
Prachi hugged her.

Shahana:"Masi, what yaar? In such happy atmosphere, tears are not allowed."
Abhi:"Shahana, happy tears."
He hugged Pragya and Prachi both.

Aryan:"today is double celebration. First my brother's birthday and now His Roka as well. There must be some dance."
He put on the music.  It was a slow dance.
Disheub went on the dance floor along with Pallavi and Vikram.
Aryan also took Shahana.
Abhi:"today, i will dance with my daughter." He forwarded his hand to Prachi who gladly took it.

Pragya:"go, go. Today, i will dance with my son-in law."
Ranbir smiled at her.
Ranbir:"with pleasure."

While dancing, Ranbir thanked Pragya.
Ranbir:"if it weren't for you, I would have never realized my love for Prachi."
Pragya:"Ranbir, Prachi has never experienced this kind of love and I know that you love her immensely. But please take care of her. I am giving you my little baby."

Ranbir, reassuring her:"i will always protect her just like you did. And just like she did to me in many occasion."
Pragya smiled at him.

Abhi:"Prachi, i know it's going to take time for you to be fully comfortable with me, but don't hesitate to share anything with me. I will try to help as I can."
Prachi nodded. Abhi lightly kissed her on her forehead.
Abhi:"you mean a lot to me even if i didn't show it to you up till now."
Pragya came to them.

Pragya:"if father and daughter's dance is over, may i have a dance with my husband?"
Abhi, teasingly:"ohh fuggi... if you are asking with so much right, how can i refuse you?"
He winked at Pragya while Prachi chuckled seeing them.
Prachi:"please carry on."

She went to Ranbir who was clicking a selfie. She came in the picture and kissed him on his cheek while he clicked it.

Ranbir turned to her:"you are being extra romantic since this whole birthday thing."
Prachi:"if you don't like it, then i will stop."
She was leaving but he held her waist and pulled her to him.
Ranbir:"when did i say that i don't like it. In fact, I am loving this."
He kissed her cheek while Prachi was all smiles.
The party went on for a few hours more.
