Big note this takes place after wish maker so I highly recommend you watched that episode before you think about reading this but if you want to be spoiled go right on ahead, oh and one more spoiler no hawk moth does not know the identity of these kids (I just hate the season 3 finale so that doesn't count here)

Luka Pov

It was another beautiful day in Paris, it was so nice in fact that I realized just how much I've been taking for granted, my friends and family I'm starting to appreciate life especially after what I saw

I still shiver at that memory the only person who remembers that is me since I was the one who started the second chance now every day it's still haunts me it's hard for me to talk to Marinette or Adrian knowing that those have been flirting with each other and they don't even realize it they love each other but I love her and what's worse is that I can't say anything to anyone and I don't even have sass with me so I can't talk to him about this

"Hey is something wrong" I hurt my twin sister call out to me

"No I've just been thinking about Marinette again at first I didn't understand why she had to keep the truth from me but now after a recent event I think I know why" I told her trying my best to hide the fact that I know that she's ladybug and that made me remember something that happened the day before

"Why did ladybug take you away with her on our birthday Jul" I asked is she immediately got flustered

"It was to take me to a safe place nothing more really" she said that she left the room but I knew my sister I knew she was lying but I didn't bother her instead I put two and two together and realize that she must have given Julia a miraculous it's at this point I started to realize something anytime she takes someone away it's most likely to give them a miraculous or take them to safety but anytime she gives a miraculous to someone it's usually a teenager someone who's close to our friend group

*Oh boy this is a lot to process what am I going to do*

I couldn't think about that for too long as Kitty section was starting to gather with new costumes as we were about to perform a new gig

"Luka there you are I wanted to give you something" I Heard a voice all too familiar to me call out Marinette

She handed me a special necklace that she made herself it was in the colors of my kitty section outfit as I took it from her thanking her and trying to put it on the moment I touched her hand all I could see was her mask it was like her face was split in half one side was ladybug and the other side was Marinette it was hard to keep it in and I wanted to talk to someone about this but this was a secret I couldn't tell anyone not even her she asked me if I knew that day and I lied to her even though I hate lying

"Is something wrong?" she asked me

"No, I'm just thinking about an old friend I wish I could see more often," I say as I went back to my room to see what the necklace look like on me referring to my kwami but none of them could figure that out

As I was in my room trying to figure out what to do another villain attacked, by the time I got up to the top of the boat everyone was already off of it and I was flying on the boat someone had hijacked it the villain themselves using me as a hostage

"Ladybug Cat noir if you don't come soon I'll have this kid thrown off the boat and destroy this whole city" the villain yelled referring to me meaning that they knew I was on the boat but before they could grab me I kicked them away and hid inside my room

*What am I going to do now without sass I can't fight* I thought to myself

"You're not going to win this time power King" I Heard ladybug yell as she and cat noir was fighting it's at that moment she saw me and ask cat noir to cover her and she ran in my direction

"It's a pleasure to see you again Luka" sass said to me as I was putting my miraculous back on

"It's best for you to use your power now that way if our powers get taken you'll be able to reset to this exact moment and tell us what we did wrong and come up with a plan" she explained

"On it"

"Sass scale slither" once again I'm viperian

"Second chance" I use my power and we went out into battle

Time skip (let's be honest I don't feel like dealing with all that fighting nonsense this is a one-shot, not an entire story)

I'll spare you all the details and just explain that this villain was no joke he was after my miraculous alongside ladybug and cat noir.

"That was close it's too dangerous for the snake miraculous to be without a holder after all if I were to lose the wrong miraculous or worse all of them in the entire miracle box I'd be doomed" ladybug said as I detransformed

And just as I was handing my bracelet over to her she put her hand on mine closing it

"No Luka I trust you with this miraculous. I want you to be the permit holder of the snake miraculous, this way if anything were to happen we would always have a second chance waiting" she said, and just like that she left

I stood there and shock the girl I knew under the mask the girl I fell in love with interested me with a miraculous and not just any miraculous one of the more powerful ones since this one deals with time

I put the bracelet back on and my friend reappears in front of me

"It's nice to have an owner again I can't wait to learn more about you Luka like for example how you lied to ladybug and why you keep your silence" he said as my back was turned on all I did was chuckle

"I'm not surprised you knew that you are my friend my kwami and I can't wait to learn more about you too but let's keep that a secret she'd be furious if she found out I lied to her" even though he promised he told me that I'm going to have to work harder if I want to win her heart again now that I know the truth about why she's like this

Mari Pov

As I detransform inside my bedroom I flopped down to my bed looking at the miracle box that was entrusted to me the first symbol I see is the snake miraculous and I saw deeply

"Are you sure it was a good idea to give Luka his miraculous back what if hawk moth finds out?" my kwami tiki said that she floated next to me

I look at her and laugh as I walk to my balcony

"I trust Luca just like how I trusted Alya. Besides, it's safer this way Master fu didn't want too many miraculouses out, but I think that could be our downfall. Think about it if all the miraculouses are in one box someplace easy for him to capture it, and he finds out where I am, it be safer for him to just have the box… but not have the jewels inside the box besides if anything I can always call the jewels whenever I need them and this isn't going to be the first time I give the miraculous is out I trust my friends I trust my allies to not say anything"

"I understand but why Luka next aren't you worried"

And I didn't answer because I wasn't worried about him he didn't know my identity.

Luka&Mair Pov

I think I might still be in love after all we haven't broken up completely yet we're still friends… who's to say we can't get back together
