The ball was closer and now it was wednesday. Jessica and Evan were going to the Great Hall to meet their friends and listen to Dumbledore, who was going to say who were part of each team.

"Good morning everyone. Yesterday, some of you came to the tryouts for the Quidditch teams and I'm glad to say that most of you did it great. Now, let me introduce you to the teams. Please remember that no matter in which position you played before, now you can be changed " He said

"Yes!" Jessica shouted once Dumbledore finished his talk. She was part of Evan's team.

TEAM 1:

Evan Rosier (Captain) & Marlene McKinnon: Beaters

Mary Macdonald: Keeper

Dorcas Meadowes, Alice Fortescue & Ambrosia Parkinson: Chasers

Jessica Potter: Seeker

"I told you it was good news" Evan said

"No. You said you had news" Jessica replied

"It's the same" he said "Anyways, are you coming to the ball or not?"

"Yeah, but I will probably go alone. I don't have a date and I don't think I will have one" she told him. She was thinking of someone inviting her, but it was impossible.

Regulus Fucking Black

'I will not deny it. I think I like Regulus' she thought.

The next day, Jessica was in the Black Lake watching the sunset when someone called her.

"Jessica" someone called her

"Oh, hi Sirius" she said

"I need your help for something" he said

"What do you need?" she asked curiously. Why was Sirius Black asking for her help?

"I want to ask Remus to come to the ball with me. But I'm not sure yet. He will probably say no" he said with a sad tone

"Hey. That 's not true. You know him since first year, and he loves you" she said giving him a comforting smile "And if he says no, I can still go with you as friends and show him what he's missing"

"Thank you sister Jessie!" Sirius hugged her

"Please, don't call me 'sister Jessie' again or I'll hex you" She said pushing him but then laughing

"Okey. Bye" he said

"Bye Sirius. Wait!" she said

"What?" Sirius asked

"Meet me in the library tomorrow and tell me how's everything with Remus" she said with a smile

"Ok" He said and left

"Hi bestie" Regulus said joining her

"Regulus I told you not to call me bestie" she said

"Sorry bestie"

"Regulus! You're an asshole" She muttered

"But you love me" He said with a smile

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

"No- Fine I love you but if you keep calling me 'bestie', I promise I will never talk to you again" Jessica said

"Talking about the ball-" He said but Jessica interrupted him

"We weren't talking about the-"

"TALKING about the ball... Who are you going with?" He asked with an innocent smile

"No one"

"Why not?" Regulus asked

"No one invited me and I really don't care"

"Mhm-" He said, clearing his throat "Dear Jessica Euphemia Potter. My bestie, my sister, my soulmate, my everything- Would you like to come to the ball with me?" he asked dramatically

"Yeah sure" she said

"Really?" He asked surprised

"No bitch" She said sarcastically

"Fine. I get it" he said with a sad face

"You stupid! I was being sarcastic. I really want go to the ball with you" She said hitting his head with a book

"Oh- OH!" He said, realizing everything "YESS!"

"See you tomorrow night" she said leaving her spot so she could go back to her dorm.
