A Speck of Dust (Achievement #57 = 2 points)
Dust I am, a mere speck,
Could be from rock or smoke,
Or dead plants and salt fleck
Or from the mug you broke.
I am carried in air,
Wafted about by breeze,
You see me everywhere,
And often make you sneeze.
You think of me as dirt,
And prefer I were gone,
I agree I do hurt,
Yet there is good I've done.
I turn rain gentle sprays,
As loess make the soil lush,
I scatter the sun rays,
And sunset sky to blush.
I'm centre of the pearl,
The heart of snowflake,
In golden light I twirl,
When snow globes you shake.
I know I am dirty,
Also cause quite some harm,
Can't deny I'm pretty
And have little bit charm.
