A few weeks later...

Y/N: "Twilight... I'm scared..."

Twilight: "Why, princess? What's the matter?"

Y/N: "Well, do you remember when I told you I would become of marrying age when I turn 25?"

Twilight: "Yes."

Y/N: "Well, it's my birthday tomorrow. And I have this horrid feeling in my gut that Aiden's going to make his move."

Twilight: "You're worried about hero face taking you back?"

Y/N: "Mhm... It's just that... there's nothing for me back home except for my parents and a wedding I don't want. I want to stay here... with you..."

He smiled and hugged me close.

Twilight: "I'll protect you... there's nothing to be afraid of. And besides, hero face is still in Merrispark. There's no way he can get here."

Y/N: "You're... you're right... I'm being silly."

Twilight: "Still my dummy dumb."

Y/N: "Hey!"

He laughed and kissed me. Suddenly, a small, strange glow appeared in front of me. What I didn't notice is that the biggest jewel on my crown was also glowing.

Y/N: "Twilight, what's that?"

Twilight: "Get behind me, princess!"

Twilight's Thoughts: 'Could that be the hero's doing? Why now of all times?! Was he waiting for the princess to become of age?'

I felt a hand pull on the back of my dress.

Y/N: "Twilight!"

He spun around to see Aiden pulling me through a type of wormhole.

Twilight's Thoughts: 'That other one was a decoy?!?!'

Aiden: "It's alright, princess! I'll save you!"

Y/N: "Aiden, you stupid goose! Let me go!"

Twilight: "Princess!!"

He reached out and tried to grab my hands, but Aiden was too quick.

Y/N: "TWILIGHT—!!"

Twilight: "PRINCESS!!!"

In an instant, Aiden and I were gone. Twilight fell to his knees.

Twilight: "No, no, NO! PRINCESS!!!"
