"And the winner of the Second Adventure Bay Surfing Event is...Zuma from Adventure Bay with a perfect 30 points!!"

Everyone cheered for the winner. Zuma stayed there with his jaw dropped.

"Great job, dude," Peter said as he gave Zuma a friendly punch on the shoulder.

"How'd I win?" Zuma asked.

"Simple," Peter replied. "You're an awesome surfer."

"In fact, he is the best surfer in Adventure Bay," Chase said as he walked up. "No offense to you, Peter."

Peter raised his hands. "Hey, I agree with you. Even the judges agree with you. That's why they elected him as the winner."

"Which reminds me that I have to go check up on someone," Chase said. "Congrats, Zuma. I knew you would win."

"Thanks for believing in me, Chase," Zuma said.

"I always have, Zuma," Chase replied. "And I always will. I just needed you to believe in yourself." As Chase walked away, he called out his megaphone. "The Second Adventure Bay Surfing Event is officially over. Thank you for joining us and have a great rest of your day." People cheered at the announcement. Some people started packing their things while others jumped into the water to have some fun. Chase jumped into his cruiser and drove off.

"Where is Chase going?" Skye asked as she and the rest of the team walked up to Zuma.

"He said that he needed to check up on someone," Zuma replied.

"Huh," Skye muttured. "Anyways, congratulations on the win."

"Yeah, you were awesome," Rocky said. The others agreed with Rocky.

"Thank you, everyone," Zuma said. "This is the second greatest thing to happen to me?"

"What's the first?" Ella asked.

"Easy, joining the Paw Patrol."

"And we are very glad that you joined the team," Ryder said as he scratched behind Zuma's air. "You are all such good pups. Let's go back to the Lookout."

Ryder and the pups left towards the Lookout. All the pupa were playing except for Zuma. Zuma was eating food while watching the television. He forgot to eat breakfast in the morning and the event tired him out, so he decided to relax.

An hour later, he was watching a movie when he heard Chase's siren. He wondered why Chase had his siren on, so he got up to find out. When he walked outside, he couldn't believe his eyes.

Chase stood next to his cruiser, smiling at Zuma. "Told you," he said. Right next to Chase, a trophy as tall as Chase was.

The trophy had three silver columns with a single gold stripe wrapping around each column. On top of the two smaller columns were two surfboards leaning against the tallest one. On the top of the tallest column, a silver pup figure with gold outlines stood tall. The three columns were set on top of a polished-wood base. On the base was a plaque made of silver said;

- ZUMA FROM ADVENTURE BAY -
WINNER OF THE
ADVENTURE BAY SURFING EVENT
2021!!

Zuma was left without words. "I know, I know," Chase said. "You told me you didn't like gold that much but this was the only way they could tell it apart from second place. Hope you still like it."

"Like it?" Zuma asked. "Dude, I love it, it's awesome. Can't believe you went through so much trouble for me. Thanks."

"You're part of the Paw Patrol," Chase said. "I would do anything for you."

"What happened to the old ones?"

"Oh, all three got lost or destroyed after the first event, so they asked for new ones. I had the guy who was building the new trophies make this one personally in case you win, which you did."

"That's awesome, dude," Zuma said.

At that moment, Skye walked into the Lookout. "Okay, you both are in here," she said.

"Why? Something wrong?" Chase asked.

"No, we just wanted to know if you guys wanted to play before Tuck, Ella, and Everest leave."

Chase looked at Zuma. "What do you say? Wanna go play?"

Zuma stood up. "Yeah, let's go."

"Okay, see you guys outside. One of you will have to be the tagger, though," Skye added.

"Not it," Zuma said quickly.

Chase laughed. "I guess I'm the tagger, then," he said.

"You won't be able to catch me," Skye teased as she ran off.

"Alright, bet," Chase said. He and Zuma walked towards the entrance. Zuma smirked at Chase and Chase noticed. "What?"

"What's up between you and Skye?"

Chase scratched the back of his head. He knew he shouldn't lie, so he was honest with Zuma. "You know, you were right. I did have feelings for Skye. After the battle, I figured that if I'm brave enough to fight off the villains, I should be able to tell her how I feel, so I told her on the way back over here from getting the trophy. Turns out she feels the same way."

"Awesome," Zuma said. "Glad both of you could come together after so long."

"What do you mean 'after so long' ?"

"Come on, dude. You and I both know it was pretty noticeable."

Chase chuckled. "Yeah, I guess you're right. But I'm still the tagger, so I'm gonna give you five seconds to run."

Zuma laughed and ran off. Chase counted to five and looked around. He noticed Marshall, Skye, Zuma, and Tuck running around. He ran off, enjoying the rest of that wonderful day.
