⚠️tw: t0rture and mentions of bl00d⚠️She hated the cave. Hated the dark chamber Dream chose to torture her in. He rarely leaves, only when he knows that she's in too much pain to leave. It's been three weeks since she'd seen the stars. Three weeks since she saw her family and friends. Now, all that exists to her is Dream. And endless, blinding pain.
Crying out in a futile attempt to make it hurt less, the winged teenager struggled against her chains to get away from the red-hot poker he used to torture her today.
"If you simply join our side, all of this will stop. I'll stop hurting you when I know you are no longer a threat. Join, or this lasts even longer." Dream chided in her ear, his body language ever too expressive of his enjoyment of this.
"Go to hell. I told you, I'm on the side of justice. Ever heard of it? Neutrality?" She mustered every bit of courage she contained into her words, spitting blood out of her mouth to make the message ever clearer: I will never be on your side, but I will only fight against you if you give me a reason. Forcefully turning her head to give him room to lean in, he spoke.
"Fine. I'll give you a chance to fight," he muttered into her ear. Her hope skyrocketed at the thought of seeing Phil again. Seeing Ranboo again. It deteriorated just as fast as it built when he brandished a sword. "Let's see if you can make it home with a stab wound in your side."
She screamed in pain when he stabbed her, stars dancing across her vision. Throwing the bloodied blade to the side, he unlocked her chains and started to drag her sobbing body to the cave entrance. As he walked away, she tried her best to gather her magic to take her home. Her bloodied body worked as Dream got farther and farther away until her magic gleamed in the darkness of the moonless night. She created pale, translucent bandages to keep her wound from bleeding for a few hours, her magic glowing the way home. Showing her the way to Ph1lza. Her body shaking with effort, she began to fly, her wings barely able to support weight.
After hours of flying, she made it into L'manburg. For once, there was no music. No lights were on. The country seemed... lifeless. Her ebony wings started to fail the closer she got to Ph1l's house. Her hope depleted with what little energy her body had left, her hands desperately trying to keep her blood in her wound, the magic bandages she made in the moment faded faster than her consciousness. She cried out her fathers name when she was near his house. Finally giving into the urge to give up, her wings failed her and she crashed into the cobbled street in front of her home. The last things she heard before blacking out were footsteps and her father yelling her name in desperation. She saw Techno readying to carry her inside, trying to save her, when everything went black.
•Ph1l's pov•
We were in the middle of a strategy meeting when the star told me that Kataena was close. And gravely injured.
"Techno, she's close. She needs help, get some medical supplies-" I cut myself off when I heard a broken scream from the sky.
"Ph1lza!"
Rushing outside with Techno, I barely registered Tubbo running. Hopefully he was preparing bandages and the sort. Running to the door, we heard a heavy and hard thud from the street. Almost yanking the door off the hinges, I ran to the street. Freezing at the sight of my daughter. Techno kept running, instinct to get her inside taking over. I barely registered myself screaming her name at the sight of her body.
There were burns all over her body, each the letter D. The stab wound in her side was weeping blood, her hair chopped off at the scalp. Her wings had stab wound after stab wound and were barely in the condition to fly. The spot where she crashed was dented in and broken.
