Lose a Part of my Mind - Loving Karen x Amnesia Reader

Doctor: Miss L/n  we warn you, Your Husband accident made him lose a major part of his memories maybe to a point where he can't remember who you are

Karen received a couple of hours ago a call from the hospital telling her that his husband Y/n suffered an automobile accident with cause damage to his head. The doctors deduce his trauma could be temporal but the number of lost memories gain by the years made it risky to expose him to all of it, making his condition even worst

Doctor: We recommend he stays a couple of days more in the hospital, so you can remove anything that could trigger an episode

Karen: Episodes??

Doctor: Some studies believe that memory loss can have a major impact on a person's life. If he lost for example 6 months of his life and someone shows him soon all events that happened during that time they will have an attack asking how much they forgot. That's why this is support by therapy and reintroducing step by step everything from what they remember to the current time

Karen: I see

Doctor: With you now informed, you can proceed

They both reach Y/n Room and Open the door. He was using bandages around his forehead on the upper part of his head, watching the TV that was in his room

Doctor: Mr. Y/n you know who this is - He points at Karen

Karen: I'm...

Doctor: She will help you to recover from your head injury and try to help you recover slowly

Y/n:  I see I'm Y/n L/n at least I can remember my name and last name

Karen: I'm Karen L/... Beecher - She uses her single last name trying to follow the play she needs it to do for him

Karen smiles, seeing that he is still nice even without parts of his memory

Doctor: Can you tell me again, what's the last thing you remember?

Y/n: I was in college in 2019 my major was (Insert here)

Doctor: Alright, miss Beecher will pick you up tomorrow and will help you to incorporate

Y/n: Sounds alright, it was nice to meet you, Karen

Karen: I can say the same

They both shake hands with Karen and the doctor leave Y/n who returns to watching television

Karen (Sad): He doesn't remember...

Doctor: You know his condition, so it's better you make your house look like you only live there and no trace of him until his memory returns

Karen: I...understand

Doctor: I recommend you pass by the administration, so you can pick up whatever he had on him that could cause an episode

Karen: *Sigh* yes

She takes the elevator to the last floor and goes to administration. While checking Y/n stuff she took his wedding ring and phone with a lot of pain deleting her number and phones that were with him trying to send them to herself to have a way to save them. After making sure he had nothing that could cause an episode, she knew what was the last stop. When reaching their house or for now her house, she started to take some frames that here hang on the wall into a box smiling remembering the moments she had with Y/n. From the time they met to their wedding.

After everything is ready, she takes the box to the second floor and lowers the stairs that guide her into the basement. With a sad look and with a deep breath, she leaves the box in a place where it will be hidden for a while, she checks the time and see she expended hours storing everything that was related to Y/n. She then goes to her bed and lays down, looking at the side where Y/n slept, putting her hand in that side and dozing off.
