Chapter 7

Jennie's Pov.

"jennie if you don't mind, where is LJ's father."
Jimin asked casually,That surprised me.

I choked on what I heard and immediately drank some water, this is the first time that he asked me about this, that i don't know how to feel at the moment.

"Are you okay?"
I  just looked at him, before i continued eating.

"Let's not talk about that topic. I'm not comfortable."
I answered him honestly , it's not really that I'm uncomfortable telling someone who is the other parent of LJ, I just don't want to open up Lisa's condition to others.

He just nodded awkwardly and we continued to eat, We became quiet when suddenly a beautiful woman approached us.

"I'm sorry for disturbing, but can I join you for a meal?  Sorry but there are no more empty tables. "
She said shyly, I smiled at her.

"Of course you can ."
she smiled at us and sat down in the  vacant seat beside me.

"by the way i'm Jisoo , I'm really sorry for bothering both of you ."
I can't help but giggle at how she scratches her head and embarrassment.

I'm actually thankful for her presence, she lightens the tension between me and Jimin.

"I'm Jennie,  and this is my friend Jimin, we are from the same company that is based in  the Philippines, but we're both Koreans and we're glad to meet you Jisoo."
I said smiling at her.

"I'm not surprised because the two of you look Korean. I'm also glad to meet  both of you. I know it's weird but i just want to ask if  I can join you for tomorrow's training? I'm the only representative in our company, i just don't like the feeling that i'm alone."
She asked and she started to eat her food.

Actually weird, but i don't want to be rude and besides she looks harmless.

"Of course, i guess it will be fun."
I replied to her and Jimin, just nodded while looking at us.

After we ate our dinner, Jimin, decided to go back to his room, while Jisoo and I, stayed enjoying the conversation about the things that are happening in our lives.

What they say, it's better to talk to strangers, because she will listen and she won't judge you? is really working with  me and Jisoo right now.

I feel comfortable talking to her, it's just weird because we just met a while ago.

"so you're sure Jimin is just your friend?"
She asked, I looked at her and smiled.

I wonder why everyone who doesn't know us, thinks that we have something.

maybe because we're always together?

are we doing something inappropriate as a friend? I asked myself

No we're not, i know my limitations.

"yes we're just friends, he  courted me before but I didn't give him a chance, i think he deserves someone better. we just became friends."
I answer her

"how can you say that there is something better than you? you underestimate yourself too much, for me , when you find real love, you will be better, you never know you are destined for each other."
She shrugged.

"I honestly don't have time for that kind of thing for now ,and  I'm into girls."
My honest answer  surprised her.

"wow. I Can't believe this, so we have the same gender preference? I have a girlfriend whose name is Rosie, I've been in a relationship with her for 2 years and I love her dearly."
She said lovingly, she looked so in love, i can see it in her eyes.

"I'm happy for you, I hope one day I will find the right person who is destined for me. But for now I'm currently focusing on my daughter."
I tell her.

I showed her the picture of my daughter, she looked so confused.

"You said you're into girls, how come you have a child? And your daughter looks familiar to me. Oh god she's so beautiful to be a mistake."
she asked with astonishment.

I looked at her trying to read what was on her mind, even though I was comfortable talking to her. I still had to limit the information I would say because she was still a stranger to me.

" As far as i know we made her with love, maybe we don't expect her but she's not a mistake and it's a very long story to tell."
I laughed at her reaction she's so stunned to speak.

"So you're the only representative of your company? Why?"
I asked her to change the subject before she could talk.

"You're trying to change the subject , huh." She said as she giggled. " yes it's just me, but my boss will attend the last day of our  training ,she will give an inspirational speech."
She said .

"I just want to ask if your boss is a typical serious type of boss? Is he handsome."
I didn't know why but i'm curious , she looked at me and laughed.

"It's a she, but she is a handsome girl. Most of her employees labeled her as a cold hearted CEO, everyone in the company is afraid of her except me, because she's my friend.

Yes, she has a cold personality and she doesn't know how to smile. I know it's impossible to believe, but I've worked for her for more than a year but I don't remember if I've seen her smile, not even once. but I feel that she is a  good person and i know that she has her reason why she is like that."
Jisoo explains to me and i nodded.

We talked more about a lot of things, she asked something about the Philippines, how was my experience living there, until I looked at my watch It's already 9 pm.

"Oh i didn't realize the time, it's a bit late, we have to rest, so we could condition ourselves  tomorrow."
I said

"Yeah right, we need to take a rest."
We stood up and headed to the elevator

"thanks for the fun talk. I'll see you tomorrow. I'm happy to meet you Jisoo, have a good night."
I told her

"I'm also glad I met you too Jennie see you tomorrow good night  ."
She answered and gave me a sweet  smile.

When I arrived at the room it was already 9:15. I called mama Lilian to check if LJ was already asleep.

Just a few moments later mama answered the call

" hi ma , is LJ already asleep."
I  ask her

"She's not asleep yet. She's still drinking her milk in her room."
She said as she went to the room, before she turned on the video so I could see LJ

"mommy i miss you, i love you. How are you mommy? 6 days left mommy and you're going home, right?"
LJ's question after question that made me smile

"I miss you too baby and mommy loves you so so much and I'll be home and yes 6 days my love ,so go to sleep to speed up time."
I said she immediately lay down and hugged her bear that Lisa gave me when we were still together before .

"Goodbye mommy, I'm going to sleep so you will be home in 5 days. Good night, mommy, I love you."
She said.

"goodbye my princess, good night i love you more. thank you ma I'll end this call just call you  again tomorrow"
I said to her.

"Be careful, goodbye."
Mama Lilian said and I ended the call.

I put down the phone and went to the bathroom for my night routine before going to sleep.
