"Tell me about yourself." Taehyun asked out of nowhere.
"Huh? You literally know everything about me." I stared at him in confusion.
"During our breakup... I must have missed out on a lot of things." He wrapped his arms around me as we cuddled on the couch. I already told him about my mom a while ago- he was very comforting and supportive throughout.
"Well, I basically overworked myself to get over you..." I laughed because of how dumb it was. "I always thought about you and what you were doing. There were so many pieces of you that were left with me."
"Same goes for me. I never stopped thinking about you," he brushed some of my hair away from my face. "I'm asking about you though, not me."
"I don't know, there wasn't much. You were a big part of me, so losing that... I didn't have anything at all." I cupped Taehyun's cheeks before sitting up to give him gentle kisses allover the face. "I love you so much."
"Me too, baby." He laid me down on my back before placing his lips on mine. With my arms wrapped around his shoulders, the kiss deepened and became more intimate.
"I'm so happy with you." I mumbled.
"Then marry me." He suddenly said out of nowhere which left me in shock.
"Wait, you're serious... right?" I didn't know yet if I should be excited. It could be one of his cruel unfunny jokes.
"I'm serious. I'm ready to commit my whole life to you," he whispered and my heart jumped. "I don't have a ring right now... I know it's not the best way to propose, but I've made my mind up long ago. Ever since we were in high school, I already knew that I wanted to grow old with you."
"Okay then, marry me." I began tearing up and so did he.
We just stayed in each others arms for the rest of the time, letting one another's presence consume the night.

Taehyun~
I took Suji ring shopping the next day, so she could finally wear something around her finger to indicate that she's engaged. Also great for me, so other men can stop trying to flirt with her.
"Wait, I want you to pick the ring! If you actually proposed to me properly, you would have bought it yourself." She joked around once we arrived at the store.
"Okay, fine." I looked around to check on the different designs. They all look the same to me, just different sizes of diamonds. Suji likes sparkly things, so one with nice diamonds would probably be the best.
One finally caught my eye, so I walked over there and asked one of the saleswomen to take that one out. It has a simple design and a round diamond in the middle, colour silver.
"Suji, I found one!" I called out her name to get her attention. Her eyes lit up once she saw what I chose.
"You know me so well." She giggled and tried on the ring. She got it readjusted to her size, and we finally got out of the store after paying for the engagement ring.
"You know... I still want to propose to you properly. When we have kids, they might ask me how I proposed and I'll have no exciting story to tell." I pouted and she just shook her head.
"Shut up, Taehyun. Be quiet!" She placed her finger onto my lips to silence me. "Your proposal was way more than enough. We went through a lot to get here."
"If you say so." I smiled and grabbed her hand so I could look at the ring. I'm kind of proud of what I chose.
Of course I want the best for my girl. She's going to be my forever, so might as well go all out.
For sure I will plan something grander.
