chapter eleven

We decided to go to the beach today. We spent all day in the sun and came back home with a red tint wherever the sun hit us that day. At least I won't have to wear blush.

We were both exhausted from our beach day, but I promised that I would stream today. I was thinking about having a chill stream and play bedwars. I put on a sweatshirt and leggings.

Alex came into my room while I was setting up.

"What am I going to do with my hair?" I asked him. I fell asleep with wet hair after my shower. It looked like a rat came in and tried to nest in it.

"Wear a beanie like me," he said, plopping down on my bed.

"They'll think I'm turning into you," I roll my eyes.

"And what's wrong with that?" He grabs a pillow and snuggles into it. I think back to the movie night last night, but quickly tell myself to snap out of it.

"Nothing," I laugh. I grab a beanie from my closet, but decide to also put my hood up, too. That is what kind of hair day I was having.

"Can I stay in here while you stream? You're bed is so much better than mine."

My guest bed is probably one of the most uncomfortable things that anyone could ever sleep on.

"Of course, just stay out of my face cam's view."

He backs to the far left side of the bed.

I start up my stream, making sure he couldn't be seen in the background. We wouldn't want people making assumptions.

"Hey guys! Today we are just going to be chilling out with some bedwars. I am very tired though from a little trip to the beach, so this will probably be a short stream."

I laugh at all the chats. "Yes, Quackity was there, but he is not going to be joining us on stream. He's sleeping right now. I think" I add the I think to make the situation look more casual. I'm not sure it really worked.

I play for a little bit. In the middle of the stream, Alex must've rolled over to be seen in the camera.

I glance over at chat. Oh crap.

I don't know how to address the situation, but it's more sus if I don't say anything at all.

I decided to play it casually.

I laugh at the chat and make my face cam to fit the whole screen. "Yeah that's sleeping Quackity right there. He fell asleep while I was setting up the stream, and I didnt want to bother him. Get your embarrassing screenshots now while he is still asleep."

"Umm, I dont think he snores. If he does, then I can't hear it. Let me check, chat." I take my headphones out, listening carefully. "Wow, nothing."

I continue playing as normal, a little more aware of what was going on behind me.

After streaming, I get ready for bed. I dont want to kick alex out of bed so I just get on the other side of the bed. He doesn't budge as I get under the covers.

I wake up in the middle of the night. The clock says 3:18. Ugh. I roll over, immediately bumping into a big object. I freeze.

I forgot that Alex was in my bed. He moves one of his arms around me, pulling me closer. I know I should back away because he's my friend, but something inside of me convinces me to stay.

The sunlight drips through the windows. I slightly wake up with my head on Alex's chest and his arm wrapped around me. I can't move his arm off of me without waking him up, so I just sit there to enjoy the cuddles. It was harmless, completely platonic.

He shifts in his sleep. Although the cuddling was platonic, I pretended that I was still asleep. I close my eyes and breathe a little heavier.

He pulls me in a little closer before realizing what was going on. I could feel him jump a little. He pulls his arm away, and he takes a pillow to replace his body. He moves to the farthest side of the bed to go back to sleep.

I have to stop myself from laughing at the scene I just witnessed. He tried to be so gentle, but, if I were asleep, I would've totally been woken up.

We slept for a couple more hours. I wake up once again to an arm around my waist. I look up at Alex to see him waking up as well. I gave him a little smile, trying to tell him that it was nice without words. I don't want him to stress that it made me uncomfortable.

"Good morning" he said, his voice deep.

"Morning," I smiled again, rolling over to grab my phone, "did you sleep better?"

"So much better, thanks for letting me crash on your bed."

"Anytime, Alex."

We lay in bed on our phones in silence for a while.

There were a couple tweets about Alex being in my bed, but the majority of them just thought it was cute.

I turn around to Alex. "Did you see that we are now a couple?"

"I did," he sets his phone down, "and I'm really sorry."

"Sorry for what?" I was confused.

"Well this wouldnt have happened if I didnt roll over." He looks a little guilty.

I roll my eyes. "Oh please, I'm not worried about what a couple strangers have to say about us."
