I woke up the next morning, only to find myself still in the smelters. I was devastated, especially when I noticed that Edward was sitting next to me, looking just as rusted as me. He looked worried and his face was covered in coal dust.

I asked him how he got there, and he told me that when Diesel 10 caught up with Lady, he used his claw to crunch her cab and rip it off. Then he grabbed her driver, Burnett Stone, and threw him on the ground. Then, at high speeds, he ran him over, splitting him in half and killing him.

After that, he turned his attention back to Lady. He proceeded to rip off her funnel, crush her wheels, and finally, rip off her face, which ultimately killed her, as well as transporting her magic into Diesel 10, making him even more powerful. Soon, Diesel 10 began to destroy everything and everyone, which included Mr Conductor, who was taking care of us while Topham was away.

Edward tried to escape, but Diesel 10 used his newfound powers to manipulate a crane unloading a ship's boiler and use it to knock him off the rails and into a pile of coal. And that's how he ended up in the smelters.
He then said that Diesel 10 had rallied all the diesels on Sodor, and created his own diesel army. But since his two henchman, Splatter and Dodge, had betrayed him, he killed them and threw their corpses into the smelting chamber of the scrapyard.

This made me worried about the rest of my friends, like Percy, James, BoCo, and even Gordon. Edward assured me that most of them had managed to escape to the Mainland to hide from the massive diesel army. I couldn't believe this was happening. I refused to believe this was happening. Further more, I was confused as to how Diesel 10 caught up with Lady if the viaduct had collapsed, but before I could bring it up, I heard a familiar whistle, one that made me feel a little relieved. Sure enough, Percy steamed into the smelters, a happy look on his face as he locked eyes with me and Edward. He told me that he was here to rescue us so that he could take us to the Mainland and plan an attack on the diesel army. Honestly, I was so relieved to be rescued that I didn't even ask any questions.

Percy's fireman helped my driver re-steam my fire, and then he did the same for Edward's driver. After we made sure the coast was clear, we quickly left the smelters and started to head towards the Mainland...
