New Kid

Chapter One: First Day

Grayson's POV

I sigh deeply as I look at the school in front of me and the kids walking in, this isn't my first school change actually it's far from it

But I can't help but feel nervous looking at the big school and all the kids in it even though it's a cool place, this is where they shot high school musical I mean come on

"Thinking to yourself again" My twin sister Gina says as she walks beside me

"Is it that obvious" I say looking at her

"Yes it's pretty obvious but hey, mom said we'd be here a while so let's enjoy it" Gina says putting her hand on my shoulder

I nod and we walk into school, I look around as the principal gave us a tour before the school year started, I signed up for soccer so they kind of had too

I look over towards the lockers and my heart stops as I look at the girl standing there, she has long brown hair and a gorgeous smile

I feel a smack at the back of my head causing me to get out of my daydream

"Ow what was that for Gina" I say rubbing the back of my head

"You were staring at that girl and I was trying to tel you that the bell rang" Gina says as she drags me away from the mystery girl

We walk into our first class and sit down as everyone piles in, I sit in my seat as I look around the class, my eyes pan to the door and I see the mystery girl walk in

I smile as I see her sit next to me, I try to contain my excitement because I don't wanna seem like a weirdo, I mean I haven't even talked to this girl and I'm experiencing gay panic at it's finest

"Ok class we'll welcome back, hope you enjoyed your summer, we seem to have new students" Our teacher says as she points towards my sister and I

"Introduce yourself please" She says

"I'm Gina" Gina says

"And I'm Grayson" I say raising my hand awkwardly as I look over at the girl next to me, she looks at me and  smiles

I smile back and wave before looking forward, oh my gosh she smiled at me, how am I glitching so much right now

The teacher started to take roll and I waited till she was done but suddenly my interest was peaked again

"Nina Salazar-Roberts" the teacher says causing the mystery girl to raise her hand

I smile as I look over at her as she puts her hand down, I decide to be bold and say something

"So your name is Nina" I say causing her to look at me

"Yea but I mostly go by NiNi" she says causing me to smile charming at her

"Well NiNi, wanna sit together at lunch, I'm kinda new here and I don't wanna hang around my sister all day" I say causing her to giggle, wow she's so cute

"Sure, you can sit with my best friend and my boyfriend and I" she says causing my smile to drop momentarily

Damn it she has a boyfriend, I should have known she was straight

"Oh ok thanks" I say recovering from my momentary disappointment as I lean back in my seat

The teacher starts talking about the syllabus but I try to process that my new infatuation has a boyfriend.......great

I walk into the lunch room with my sister who soon departs when she sees some of her new friends

I throw my hands up as she leaves me alone, I look around when suddenly I hear someone yell my name

"Hey! Grayson over here" NiNi yells as she looks over to me

I smile but it soon turns into a frown when I see her and her boyfriend, I sigh and walk over to her wave towards her and her boyfriend and her friend as they wave back

"So Grayson, you knew here" her friend says

"Yea, my sister and I moved here during the summer, whats your name" I say smiling

"Well I'm Kourtney your new best friend, so have you met any cute guys at this school yet" Kourtney says causing me to start laughing

I laugh hard as they all look at me weirdly

"Oh my gosh, that's funny but in all seriousness I don't like guys, I'm gay" I say confidently as they all look at me

"Oh well that's cool, NiNi has two moms and we'll E.J is in theater" She says causing me to laugh and put my head down

"So are you gonna join theatre" NiNi says causing me to look at her

"Maybe, my sister is into that stuff but I'm more of a sports fan" I say

"Nice, have you considers playing basketball" E.J says causing me to frown a bit, I can't get jealous

"Yea but I'm more of a soccer kid but I can try out" I say causing him to smile and look at NiNi

Lunch continues and i think ima like it here, I mean besides my very fast infatuation with NiNi, I think I'll be fine being her friend

"So you doin the musical" Gina says as she flips onto my bed

"Well since your the third person to ask me I'll give you the same answer, I don't know" I say as I look back at my homework

"Come on Gray, we are an amazing duo and plus, I saw you eyeing that NiNi girl today" She says poking me

"Yea but she has a boyfriend and I'm not a home wrecker" I say pointing my pencil at her as I finish up my last question

"Ok well you can definitely show her how amazing of a singer you are, I mean come on girls love singers" Gina says causing me to shhh her

"Keep your voice down mom is downstairs" I say in a whisper

"Come on, you still haven't come out yet" Gina says in a whisper

"No and I'm keeping in that way because i don't know how she'll react, I'll be out at school but not at home" I say in a whisper

"Fine but you'll have to be sneaky if you wanna win over NiNi" Gina says as she gets up from my bed

"Shut up" I say throwing an eraser at her as she exist the room

I smile as I shake my head and think.....if I can't stew NiNi, I'll have to impress her

A/n ayyyeyeeee first chapter written back on the iPhone, this isn't going to be a reoccurring things because I like typing on my computer but i like this story and I hope y'all do too
