"...Open your eyes..."

"Open your eyes..."

"Open your eyes... Wake up, Kate..."

Kate slowly opened her eyes, seeing an unfamiliar room, looking around, wherever she was at, she was the only one there

"Not my room, nor the library", Kate muttered, getting up and walking up to a pillar where a familiar slate popped out, "Zelda's Sheikah Slate... what's this doing here",

the door opened, revealing another room, where her clothes were in, getting dressed, Kate couldn't help but wonder what happened, how did she get there, once she was ready, Kate opened the doors of the area she was in using the Sheikah Slate.

"Kate... the time has come for you to save Hyrule...",

Kate couldn't help but wonder about what happened, until a certain memory hit her, the day she fell protecting Zelda, the Calamity had come, she and Link fell in battle, alongside four of their friends

"Sis", Kate muttered, running out of the shrine and into a small canyon, "Ok, Right is Kakariko Village, left is where I need to go",

running uphill and into a clearing, Kate's eyes widen when she saw Hyrule Castle, her former home, in ruins, Calamity Ganon rampaged around the castle, suddenly, a golden light flashed within the throne room of the castle, Calamity Ganon disappeared, Zelda was keeping him at bay, but for how long was the question now.

"Zelda... hang on, I'm coming", Kate said, running forward, toward the castle

"You cannot go", A familiar voice stated, causing Kate to stop and turn around, there, her eyes to widen in shock, the spirit of the King stood there, but Kate's look of shock turned stern

"Zelda is my sister, and I'm going there whether you like it or not", Kate said sternly

"Without the Master Sword, without Link, you will get yourself killed", the King stated, "a hundred years have passed, and you are still but a child",

"Then what all do I have left, if what you say is true, where's Link, is he still alive, where's our people", Kate asked, in both anger and sadness, "my whole life was studying about Hyrule, yet I made time for those I cared about, and you know what, congratulations father, I'm a queen of nothing, the castle's in ruins, the people are most likely gone, Zelda and Link are currently all I have left... and I have no clue where he's at or if he's still alive...  I can't do this alone",

Kate sunk to her knees, tears flowing from her eyes, she was lost and had no clue what to do, the King stood there in silence before he spoke up

"I may be too late for this, but... I am sorry, I was a fool for not giving you the freedom you needed", The King stated, "but as my time ended long ago, Hyrule looks to you now, both you and Link, he is still alive, but doesn't remember his past, I was able to bring back some memories, memories of you and him, but he is on his way to Kakariko Village as we speak, the Hylians still live, now scattered within Hyrule, waiting for you to return, Impa will guide you and Link on the path forward, you and Link must save Hyrule, but I forbid you from entering the castle until you're ready with the Master Sword in hand, now go... my daughter",

The King disappeared, and Kate stood up, turning around, she gazed over at Hyrule Castle once again, taking a deep breath, she stared out toward the throne room

"I'm afraid I'm going to have to make you wait a bit longer... but it won't be for too long", Kate explained, "I'll meet up with Link, we'll get the Master Swords back, and then, we'll be heading your way, I promise",

as the moon set on Hyrule, dawn arrived, turning around, Kate began making her way back to Kakariko Village, to speak to a dear friend of Her's and Zelda's.
