I can't help the fact everyone wants to kill me

deep in the forest

We were lost

In the middle of the forest,I tried to fly around to see anything but not too much so I wouldn't get lost due to what trick prevented us from getting back

"So we're lost huh"

"We're in the forest of the dead,nothing has ever escaped this place before,there have even been attempts to build here,but apparently the building equipment and the teams all got lost and were never found again,when they tried to call them on their radios,they didn't know where they were and we're suddenly silenced"she explained

"And why didn't you tell us?"I asked her

"Because many people have been camping here and have returned normally, outside of there being monsters here obviously,from what I have seen it sort of attacks beings that would seek to take from it or invade it"she explained

I then started to think of what we possibly could have taken from it as I suddenly turned around to our dinner

"Living beings"said Mordred what I was thinking

"Yes,and it's safe to say we won't get away from here by normal means"said Rika

And so we sat there,no clear goal on what to do,i could fly away and carry rika while Mordred keeps on leaping in the air,but it really won't do anything and it'll make us lose our van too,it took me a while but...

"Let's wait then"I said

"How long do you intend us on staying here?"asked mordred

"As long as it takes for us to be attacked"I said

"So you'll bring whatever has been killing off people so that it lets us go?"she asked

"Yup!"

"You know that thing is really dangerous right?many strong individuals were sent here before and they all perished as well"said Rika

"Maybe but it's our only shot since there is apparently no end to this place for as far as we retraced our paths,so it's this or nothing"I said

"Welp! I'm on board!!one of you guys better stay on top to cover us"she said as I volunteered

"I can stick to the car easily,so you won't have to worry about me falling off"I said as I jumped out the van while holding the top of the doorframe backflipping onto the top of it

"ONWARD!!or backwards..

Or whichever is the opposite of where we came from"I said as Mordred didn't hesitate one second and began driving forward at a speed too fast for a forest,even if she was dodging all the trees in our way

I was hit by small stick

Then a branch

Then a thick one and than another one which hit me right in the future generations

I'm sorry you will never get to be born

I then decided to get on all fours to avoid getting hit more than I already was

At least now I could keep my senses Sharp on our surroundings in case anything would come at us

But nothing came

I expected There to be giant vines swinging down on us from out of nowhere or parasitic monsters appearing out of the woods

But it was suspiciously quiet

"This is weird,maybe we went the wrong way"I said to myself as we were going to go up a hill

That's when I jinxed it

The hill suddenly opened up with the ground beneath us as well like a giant living being swallowing it's preys

Mordred hit the brakes but it couldn't stop the inevitable as we started to fall,not before I had one trick up my sleeve as I shot a web upwards as it had already closed down

I managed to hold on although with difficulty

"How long is the fall?!"I shouted to them

"Not too far!!!think you can slowly descend there?"asked me Rika as I obliged by slowly extending my web down below until we reached the bottom as I let go of it and the van landed on the ground,both Mordred and rika got out of it as I jumped down to them

"Light?"I asked

Rika then summoned a fireball in her hand

"Man is there something you can't do?"I asked her

"Swim is one of them"she said which made me laugh until I looked at her

"You're serious?"I asked her as she nodded

"Enough you two, let's go find what brought us here"said Mordred summoning her sword in her hand

We decided to follow her as we slowly made our way deeper into the cave,as we walked Mordred noticed something

"Hey,put some light in here"she told Rika as the latter obliged

She directed her flame to where Mordred was pointing at to see what would be there

It was a dead body and one that hadn't fully decomposed yet,filled with holes with worms coming out of each of them and a loss of color of skin

"Brighten the flames please"said Mordred

What was revealed to us was an entire wall filled with corpses and mechanical parts from the people that tried to raze this forest

"We might be in a bigger pickle than we thought"I said as I realized that it wasn't just some big animal that killed them but something beyond that

Suddenly we heard giggling as fresh green vines appeared at our feet going to a certain direction as if telling us to follow it

"Do we follow them?"asked Mordred

"We're already trapped,so we might as well"

And so we walked onwards unsure of what was awaiting us
