"what if me and hyunjin actually dated..?"

seungmin felt his heart racing more than usual and a rush of adrenaline go through his veins on the thought of it. he didn't think it was a bad idea but knew that hyunjin would've never agree to anything like that. besides, he's already dating someone else.

although hyunjin admitted he had mutual feelings, he still felt insecure. he'd never been anybody's first choice, so he found it hard to believe hyunjin's feelings towards him could overcome the feelings he had for his current boyfriend.

he doesn't even know his name. he thought it was sick and felt the guilt coming back to haunt his mind.

jeongin seemed to notice the worry on his face and looked at him with his doe eyes, that had a glint pf concern in them. "you okay?" he asked.

seungmin forced a smile and nodded. "i'm fine."

jeongin returned the smile and switched his phone off and kept it to the side. "soo..about that guy i had a crush on.." he continued.

seungmin seemed more interested on the topic and wriggled into his seat, ready to hear more about jeongin's crush.

"he's a barista at Eunjun's cafè.." jeongin said shyly, the blush on his cheeks radiating clearly off the males pale cheeks.

seungmin slightly widened his eyes, "wait—" he stopped jeongin as he was reminded of someone very familiar..

"i-is his name chan?" he stammered. there was no way—

"yup!" jeongin said with a wide smile that revealed his dimples. "how'd you know-"

"oh my god jeongin, don't hate me but he's kinda my—"

"boyfriend!?" jeongin gasped with worry in his eyes.

seungmin furrowed his eyebrows in disgust. "no. ew, i meant my bestfriend. and also my childhood bestfriend. i didn't know he was your crush.."

jeongin exhaled his breath in relief and smiled. he was pleasantly surprised that seungmin knew chan before him. "well, i didn't expect you to know him before me. and he's your childhood bestfriend? what else are you hiding from me!?"

seungmin chukled and fished his phone out of his pocket, searching for a contact. "i'm not hiding anything from you innie. but here i have his number- i can forward it to you."

jeongin's eyes sparkled in hope as he quickly took his phone up and excitedly tapped on his feet. "oh my gosh! that would be amazing! thanks seungmin, your literally the best!"

seungmin smiled in return and forwarded chan's number to the younger. "there. now you can get to know him more."

jeongin nodded, getting up from his seat. "i'm excited..and it's all thanks to you seungmin. i owe you."

"you're right." seungmin agreed, "meet me at the cafè after school? i'm up for third wheeling."

jeongin giggled, "sure thing min." he said. he waved at the male as they bid their goodbyes and split ways.

jeongin left the library with seungmin scanning through his notes on the desk.

as seungmin found the book he needed for his next class, he swiftly got up and began leaving the library in a scurry, not wanting to be late to his next class.

as he was running towards the classroom, he happened to stumble on hyunjin who was at the lockers talking to a blue haired, short male.

hyunjin seemed invested in the conversation and even had a smile while talking to the unknown male.
