WARNING ATTEMPTED SUICIDE REFERENCES
Loki was transferred to a "cell" on the Helicarrier. By "cell" it actually meant just a container with a pit of death underneath. It had been decided that Fury would talk to Loki and try to get some information out of him while Natasha and me watched on through the cameras. My role was to analyse his body language and work out when he was lying and how he was feeling.
I looked over at Natasha as we set up the live feed and simply stared for a moment. I slowed down my time and looked her over. Her emerald eyes were steeled and ready and her plump lips were curling into a small smile at waiting for the interrogation. Her mind was obviously double checking everything that she had done and the look of concentration made her look...
almost beautiful.
I spent another minute of my time lookin her over and then quickly sped up my time again. To me what had been ten minutes of staring was in actuality no more than a cursory glance upwards towards her. Soon Fury walked into the cell and Loki began to talk.
"Its an impressive cage. Not built I think, for me." The god said with his arms stretched wide signalling to the incredibly thick re-inforced glass and metal casing that surrounded him.
fury responded calmly "Built for something a lot stronger than you." trying to intimidate him but only leading to a smile from Loki.
"Oh I've heard." He responded now turning to look at the camera talking to it rather than Fury. "A mindless beast who makes plays as a man."
At those words I looked up at Bruce and saw him look slightly unimpressed but solemn back to me. So far Loki had not said a word of anything but the truth not even pretending to hide anything up until he started to talk about Bruce's other side. When he did there were subtle markers of deception across his face.
"He's planning something with Bruce." I wispered to Natasha and she noddded in understanding.
After a short pause Loki turned back towards Fury talking again to the director. "How desperate are you? You call on such lost creatures to defend you." He said this with a challenge in his voice.
Fury accepted this verbal challenge and continued "How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war, you steal a force you cannot hope to control , you talk about peace and you kill because it is fun. You have made me very desperate...You might not be glad that you did." He slowly stepped towards the glass with every added reason for desperation until his face was inches from the glass.
Loki also leaned forwards and I noticed markers of him being pleased with himself like he has acomplished some sort of goal. "Oooh, it burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power; Unlimited power and for what? A warm life for all mankind to share? And then to be reminded what real power is." Loki finished
Loki as he said this looked slightly unsure of himself. He had markers of deception when he referred to himself as real power and I activated the line to Fury.
"Fury, I don't think he is the big threat here. There is someone bigger behind him who he veiws as more powerful."
Fury smirked in responce but said nothing until turning to leave the holding chamber. "Tell me if real power needs something. Maybe a magazine?" he closed the door behind him.
Everyone looked up from the live feed of the interrogation and stared in silence for a moment before Thor interrupted with the one thing no-one wanted to hear. "He has an army called the Chitauri." Thor said as he faced the other direction. Steve looked visibly uncomfortable with this news and I internally swore to never make a deal with SHIELD again if this was the kind of shit they threw at me.
