Tessa

The next day...

Before the first class, we decided to stop at the coffee shop.

Tessa: "So? Who's ready for the first day?"

Will: "You are too excited, Tessa."

Tessa: "Of course, I am! I can't wait to end this and to move to France." Oh, shit. This just slipped from my mouth. Ugh! I hate myself! No one knows my plans for the future.

Molly: "Wait, what? France?!"

Tessa: "I'm really sorry. I'm late for my classes. See you later!" I'm not that brave to talk with them right now. I get up, I take my bag and I want to leave.

Steph: "You are not going anywhere!" She stops me. "Really, Tessa? France?!"

Tessa: "I'm really sorry, I can't stay. I have Literature now. I promise to explain everything later."

I leave the coffee shop and I go to the class. I enter in the class and I go to sit next to Landon.

"Traitor."

"So, the news arrived at you?"

"Why?"

"Please, don't start. I promise to explain this." I see Hardin to us and he sits next to me. He is the one missing.

Hardin: "Hi, guys."

Tessa: "Hi."

Landon: "Hello."

Hardin: "I heard you're leaving to France after college."

Tessa: "Yes and what's the problem?"

Hardin: "I don't have one."

Tessa: "That's good."

Hardin: "So... "

Tessa: "What?"

Hardin: "Do you want to have a coffee with me?"

Tessa: "You are not giving up, right?"

Hardin: "Nope. I don't like a refuse."

Tessa: "Ok, fine. I'm coming. When?"

Hardin: "Today, after classes."

Tessa: "Good."

Hardin: "I'll wait you at the coffee shop, it's ok?"

Tessa: "Yes."

After a long day, I'm finally ready to go home, but I remember that I promised Hardin that I'm going to coffee with him. Why I said yes? Maybe because he was too insistent. And he is cute. He is so different than Zed and maybe I should give him a chance. Maybe he is the love of my life.

I arrive at the coffee shop and I find him sitting at a table.

"Hi."

"Hi." He smiles. "What can I get you to drink?"

"Lemon Ice Tea. It's late for coffee."

"I will be back soon." He goes and order our drink and after a few moments he is back with my tea and a black coffee for him.

"Thanks..."

"No, I should thank you for coming."

"It's just a coffee."

"I would like to call it a date."

"I don't want a relationship, Hardin. Zed broke my heart and I can't trust anyone in this moment. Why you can't understand this?"
