"How are you so good!" The two yelled, Tom and (Y/N) had tried every game in the arcade at least twice and yet they were tied.
"Truce?" Tom said, holding his hand out.
(Y/N) looked down at Tom's hand and grasped it with a smile. "Truce,"
Tom gave a tiny smile, but it disappeared once he realized that they would have to walk back home as Tord had taken the car. "Damn it! He took the car,"
"Hey, it's alright, Tom," (Y/N) placed a hand on the eyeless man's shoulder, comforting him, "I'm fine with walking,"
Tom sighed, placing his hand on (Y/N)'s. "Fine, let's go,"
Tom retracted his hand and shoved it into the pocket of his hoodie, walking ahead as (Y/N) ran a little to catch up. Once she caught up with the eyeless man, she held onto his arm.
If people passed by them, they would think that they were a couple, but that was far from the truth. Tom had always thought of (Y/N) as a sister and just like a brother would've, he was overprotective of her.
Tord was Tom's rival ever since high school. So (Y/N) understood why Tom was overly protective whenever Tord was involved. "(Y/N),"
(Y/N) hummed in response. "I know that you like Tord," Tom watched (Y/N)'s eyes widen at his statement and before she could speak, Tom continued, "Don't try to deny it. It's pretty obvious,"
Tom ran a hand through his hair as he exhaled, "While I don't like the guy. I know that you do, but that doesn't mean I'll stop protecting you from him!"
(Y/N) laughed a bit, "It just means I'll be less overprotective. But, I swear, if that damn commie hurts you," Tom ran his thumb across his neck as (Y/N) rolled her eyes.
"Don't worry, I'm sure he would never hurt me... on purpose,"
"Either way, if he so much as lays a finger on you. Then he better start running," (Y/N) gave Tom a playful punch as they both burst out laughing.
The rest of the walk was filled with talk about a rematch, Tord and about music. Once the two reached the door, they walked in to see Edd and Matt playing checkers.
Matt was the first to notice the two. "Oh, (Y/N) and Tim are back!"
(Y/N) covered her mouth to stop herself from laughing out loud as Tom took a deep breath before correcting Matt through gritted teeth.
"Wait, where's Tord?" Edd chimed in, looking for the said Norwegian.
"Oh, he said he had to--"
"Someone call for me?" a familiar voice said.
Everyone turned to face the door. Where a red hooded individual stood, Tord. He made his way past the group, not even bothering to greet them as he made a beeline towards his room.
Everyone watched as Tord slammed the door, leaving everyone in stunned shock.
"What's his problem?" Tom spoke up as everyone else stayed silent.
(Y/N) made her way to Tord's door and gave it a light knock. "Tord, is everything alright?"
"Yeah, I just... need some time to think," the Norwegian responded, his voice slightly muffled by the door.
"Can I come in?"
"No,"
(Y/N) understood that Tord needed some time to himself, but the sudden change of attitude was worrying to say the least.
After a few more minutes of standing in front of Tord's door, (Y/N) walked down to where the others were preparing to eat dinner.
Edd and Matt helped set up the table as it was Tom's turn to cook, so as the other boys finished their task, (Y/N) sat down on the seat closest to Tom, who was still busy with preparing the meals.
