*Lana's POV*
I woke up at 4:30 am, like normal. I got up and began to get dressed. Today starts the last week of shooting, then comes a stupid hiatus. Shooting is great because I get to see all of my close friends. And Jen. Oh, Jen. You see, Jennifer Morrison has been my best friend since this all started back in 2011. Here we are, 2014. She's always been here for me. I have a small house up here. It's nice. I smiled, thinking of all the times Jen had come to stay with me when I was sick or when Fred and I would fight. When we shoot in Steveston, I live up here because it's just easier. After putting on yoga pants, a hoodie and Nike Free Runs, I walked to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of water, then grabbed my phone and walked to my car. I got in and turned the car on, quickly turning on the heat. It's barely 5 am. I groaned as I began to drive to work. One good thing about going to work was that I got to see Jen a lot. You see, Jen is my best friend. But it's deeper than that. I've been in love with Jen since 2012. I've never been able to tell her. I'm terrified of rejection. And, besides. I'm with Fred. Jen's with Sebastian. There's nothing more to it. She's happy and I don't want to wreck that with a silly crush. I got to set and parked. I got out of my car and walked towards where everyone normally meets. I looked around, looking for Jen. But, I didn't see her. Everyone but Jen is here. I walked over to Ginny and she smiled. "Where's Jen?" I asked. She frowned. "She's in her trailer. She's real upset." Ginny said. I raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you hear? Sebastian cheated on her, then dumped her." She said. My heart broke. "Go." Ginny said, practically reading my mind. Everyone knows about my feelings for Jen. I told Ginny about it and she already knew. Apparently it's in the way I act around her. But, Jen. Jen doesn't know. I turned and ran. I ran for the trailers. I ran to Jen's and knocked on the door. No answer. I opened the door and saw Jen laying on the couch, sobbing into a pillow. "Jen?" I asked quietly. "Oh. Lana. Hey. What's up?" She said, sitting up and quickly wiping her tears away. "Jen... You don't have to be ashamed to cry around me." I said and walked over, sitting down beside her. I put my arm around her shoulders and she leaned her head against my shoulder. "I'm sorry Lana. I just... He told me I was his one and only. And then, he goes off and gets another girl pregnant. But me? He was going to hide it from me. Then, he dumped me because she wanted to marry him. He kicked me to the curb like I was nothing." She said. I rubbed her shoulder gently. "Jen, I'm so sorry." I said. "I thought he could be 'the one'. Ya know?" She said. "Yeah." Was all I could say. "Jen, why don't you come over tonight. We can watch movies. I'll get ice cream. We can burn all of your pictures of him." I said. She looked up at me and smiled. "Thanks Lana." She said. I chuckled. "Anytime baby girl." I said and kissed her cheek. We did stuff like that all the time, so it wasn't a big deal. We act like we're dating. So, maybe there is a chance for us. "Come on babe. Let's go to shoot. Don't want Adam and Eddy to get mad." Jen said. I nodded. We both stood up and she grabbed my hand. I smiled and we walk out of the trailer. We walked back to the group and everyone looked at Jen like she was a stray puppy. Her eyes were swollen and red, and her face was tear-stained. I dropped her hand and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. I pulled her into my embrace and she wrapped her arm around my waist. "Alright. Now that we've got our Savior and our Evil Queen." Adam said and looked at us. We just smiled. "We ready to start shooting?" He asked. Everyone agreed and we all went to costumes and hair and makeup. Jen and I both went to change into our costumes. She smiled at me and I blushed lightly. Can I seriously be any more obvious? "So, babe." Jen started and looked at me. I smirked. "Where's Fred this week?" She asked. I shrugged. "He isn't talking to me much. Or, telling me much. He's acting strange lately. But, I guess it's just one of those times." I said. "I'm sorry to hear that." Jen said. I nodded. Then, my phone started ringing. I picked it up and sighed. "Hey Fred." I said. Jen rolled her eyes and I smiled. "Babe, are you coming home this weekend?" He asked. This time, I rolled my eyes. I only liked being called babe when it was by Jen. "Uh. Maybe. I don't know. I might stay in Steveston for a bit. It's nice up here." I said. Canada is by far one of my favorite places. "You want me to come up there?" He asked. "Uh.. I guess." I said, when I really wanted to dump him and say no. He's kind of a jerk. But, I can't find the courage to break up with him. He hung up and I sighed. "Everything okay?" Jen asked and glanced over at me. I shrugged. "Just.. Fred's being kind of a jerk. And, he's coming up here this weekend. But, I really just want some alone time. Or time to spend with friends." I said. She nodded. "I get that." She said. "Yeah." I said. "Well, I better head on to shoot." She said and looked down. "Yeah. I'll probably still be in here when you have to change costumes. I don't shoot until later." I said. Jen nodded. She was dressed like Emma. I smiled. She turned around to walk out and her ass looked amazing in the skinny jeans. I smiled and bit my lower lip lightly. She left and I was all alone. Then, Fred called me again. "Hello?" I said. "What are you up to?" He asked. "Waiting to shoot." I said. "Ah. Well, we need to talk." He said. "Okay. What about?" I asked. "You spend all your time with Jennifer and the rest of the cast. You always put them first. But, mostly her. I don't like it. It seems like you're always with her when I'm not around. And, Lana Maria Parrilla, you are mine. I don't share well." He spit. "I work with them Fred. What do you want me to do? Quit?" I asked. "Maybe. Maybe you should. Because then, you could live in California with me. All the time and I could watch you." He said. "Are you serious, Fred? You want me to quit my job over your jealousy for my friends?" I spit. "Yes! Because this job has taken you away from me! You are my girlfriend!" He shouted. "Why?! Why am I your girlfriend?!" I screamed back. "Because I said so. You love me." Fred said, in a tone that made me want to throw up. 'Actually, I don't love you. I love Jen.' I thought. "Maybe we should break up." I said. He laughed. "You think you can break up with me? Wrong. This relationship isn't over unless I say it is." He said. I swallowed heavily. "Quit. Or you'll regret it." He spit and hung up. I stood up and left the trailer, going to my own. I walked in, then collapsed onto the couch in tears. After a few hours, the door to my trailer opened. "Lana? What's wrong?" A quiet voice asked. "Jen..." I said. She came and sat beside me and wrapped her arms around me. I buried my head into the crook of her neck and breathed in her scent. She smells like vanilla. "Fred wants me to quit." I said. She tightened her arms around me. "Why?" She asked. "He says that this has taken me away from him." I said. "But.. You guys spend most weekends together." She said. "Yeah." I said. Jen began rubbing my back soothingly. "I just don't know what to do." I said. "What do you want to do?" She asked and kissed the top of my head. "I don't want to quit. I love this job. I love getting to see you and the rest of the cast almost everyday because you're my best friends." I said. "Then tell him that." Jen said. I nodded. But, there's no way I could tell him that. No one knows what he does to me. Not even Jen. See, Fred's bipolar. So, he's physically and verbally abusive. But, then the next minute, he's the sweetest guy ever. I need to get out of this relationship before it gets worse. I just don't know how. "Jen?" I said quietly. "Hmm?" She asked and played with a strand of my hair. "Jen... Can I talk to you? About Fred?" I asked. "Yeah of course." She said. I breathed in heavily. "Well... He... He kinda.. When he gets mad.. He kinda takes it out on me." I said. "He what?" Jen said, sounding angry. "Does he hit you?" She asked. I swallowed hard. "Y-yes." I said. "Lana. Babe. You've got to end it. Don't let it go any farther." She said and held me tight. "I know.. I'm just scared. I've tried ending it before. But, he just threatens me." I said and sighed. "I'll help you." She said. I nodded. "So, I'm done shooting today. Why don't we head on to your place?" She asked. I nodded. They decided not to shoot my scenes today. So, Jen and I are done today. It's only 4:35 pm. "How about I meet you at your place?" Jen asked. I nodded and she hugged me, then walked to her car. I walked to mine and sighed as I got in. I drove home and when I got there,
I parked and walked in. I sent Jen a text that said "The door's unlocked. Just come in." I walked to the living room and laid down on the couch. After a few minutes, I fell asleep.
*Jen's POV*
My phone buzzed and i saw it was a text from Lana. She's one of my best friends in the whole world. I'd do anything for her. And to be honest? She's the one person in this world that I've ever fallen for. Yeah. Sebastian and I had our moments. But with Lana? I see a future. But.. There's no way she'd feel the same. "The door's unlocked. Just come in." I smiled at the text. I opened the door to her house and walked in. "Lana?" I called out. No answer. I checked her bedroom. Not in there. Then I went to the family room and she was asleep on the couch. I smiled at the sleeping brunette and pulled out my phone. I took a picture of her, then picked her head up gently. I sat down and laid her head in my lap. I began playing with a strand of her hair. After about an hour, she woke up. "Jen?" She asked. "Yeah?" I asked in return. "When did you get here?" She asked in a raspy voice. I smiled. "Okay... Your voice when you just wake up is hot. Just saying." I said. "What?" Lana asked. I chuckled. "Anyways. I got here about an hour ago." I said, changing the subject. "Yeah okay. But, did you say my voice was hot?" She asked again. "Yeah." I said and blushed lightly. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "So, I think you're the one who needs some cheering up now." I said and looked at Lana. She smiled weakly and nodded. "Wait. Do you feel better?" She asked. "Yep. I'm fine. I only picture one person in my future and it's not Sebastian." I said. Ugh. Too bad Lana's straight or I'd totally go for her. "Aw. Well, I'm glad you feel better. Shit. I need to check my phone." She said and grabbed her phone from the coffee table. "J-Jen... Uh... Can you stay with me? Maybe like.. The rest of the week..." Lana said in a shaky voice. I looked at her and she looked like she was about to burst into tears. "Of course... Is everything okay?" I asked. She nodded hesitantly and looked away. "I just.. Don't want to stay alone right now..." She said. "Should we stay at my house?" I asked. She shook her head. "Not right now.. M-maybe later." She said. I nodded and she sat up. I pulled her into my embrace and she was shaking. "Lana.. What's going on?"
