How scared she was to face the cruel world.
Society judged her every movement.
She would sit in the corner while thoughts of hatred whirled.
She was confident there would never be self improvement.
The people she was closest to pushed her away.
It seemed like when the sun shone, it was just to mock her;
Until a whole new world came into play;
She discovered music, the only thing that could put her life back together.
Guitar lessons started, and her heart started to lighten.
She pulled out the knives people had stabbed into her back.
Whenever rock was played, her eyes would brighten.
The music helped her off the beaten track.
Music was there for me when others weren't
And I'm glad it stopped my demons from pushing me into the wrong current.
