We were five, when we met,
we became quick friends.
Do you remember or did you forget?
You promised our friendship will never end.
We were ten, when you stopped talking with me.
You found a new group of friends
and completely discarded me.
Only neighbors we were then, no more friends.
We were fifteen, when I fell for you.
And you fell for the new girl in our school.
I was nobody to you.
I loved you like a fool.
We were twenty, when you said sorry for leaving me.
We become friends again.
I didn't reveal my feelings to you
because I knew it will go in vain.
Now, we are twenty-five.
You got married to 'her'.
And I got engaged to my new love.
You are happy with 'her'
and I am happy with 'him'.
But in another life, I will be your girl.
I will climb the social ladder along with you.
I will be that new school girl.
In another life, I will confess my love to you.
