~ Mathilda POV ~

"Ugh, I hope he will understand why I had no chance of finding him," I groaned while walking into the kitchen, Sirius closely falling behind me. "I am sooo nervous, I can't even put it into words," I said filling up a glass of water and felt Sirius wrap his warms around me from behind. It was now three days after he and Daisy met and things were going really good, although I was more than careful about any Witch Watcher or Auror visits.

He placed small kisses on my shoulder and I leaned into him. "I missed that," he mumbled into my neck. "Me too," I hummed, feeling his warm body against mine and his soft breath tickling my skin.

He loosened his arms and pulled away when we heard Daisy storm downstairs and were quickly met with her brightly smiling face.

"Good morning," she beamed, walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water herself. "Someone is rather cheerful this morning?" I beamed at her and she nodded.

"Well, first of all it is nice having mornings like this, as a family, and secondly I have a question," she started and I gave her a questioning look.

"So, Josie asked if I wanted to come over to her place for a sleep over on Monday? And Zoey another friend of ours would be coming over too? Am I allowed to go there too?" she asked with big eyes, grinning.

"Yes, of course. Sure!" I smiled putting a hand on her shoulder. I was truly happy for her to finally have friends. It wasn't too easy for her to have friends in the past. My friends haven't had children until now since I was super young when I had Daisy and the parents of children who are as old as Daisy weren't to fond of my company as I was still seen as Sirius Black's ex, Death Eater's fiancée. I tried going to baby playgroups and everything, but they always just gave me judgmental looks or talked behind my back, so at some point I just stopped. And well, so Daisy ended up with having me as her friend and I know even though it is amazing to have such a good and great relationship with your daughter I did not forever want to stay her only friend. She needs friends herself and I was more than happy that she really has now found herself some.

"I don't have to ask you too, right?" she then said, grinning at Sirius and he started laughing. "No, you don't, but I would have anyways said yes." He smiled at her.

"I know. From now on when mum forbids something I always will just ask you. Because you are cool," she chuckled and I gave her a warning look.

"Hey, am I not cool?" I pouted and now the two of them laughed.

"Excuse me? I am indeed cool!" I crossed my hands in-front of my chest and pouted even more. "You are right, love, you are the coolest person in the world," Sirius said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"No mum, dad is right. You are very cool, but sometimes you are also a bit......uncool and strict," Daisy said and wrapped her arms around me. "Yes, my dear, otherwise you would do everything you please, which is not always so good." I laughed softly, brushing my hand over her head. "Yes, yes," she snickered. Sirius grinned at us, something glowing in his eyes.

"So I will just quickly write a letter back that I am coming. Can you drop me off then? And then I will be back downstairs." "Yes, of course!" I shouted after her while she already sprinted upstairs.

"She is amazing," Sirius said and smiled from one ear to the other. "You really raised an amazing child, I couldn't be prouder to be her father." I was leaning against the kitchen counter and quickly reached my hands forward to pull him close to me. He approached me and I quickly pulled him down to kiss him, slowly running my tongue over the seam of his lips before he let me enter.

"Thank you! You have no idea how happy that makes me," I breathed out after a few seconds and he smiled at me.

"Well, I will deck the table and hopefully he will be here soon," I then beamed and heard Daisy run downstairs. I actually offered to pick him up from wherever he came from but it would have been too suspicious according to Remus and Sirius. Petunia did not know who I was but what if she still remembered me somehow maybe from pictures or whatever. So well, now Harry was taking the train and would then walk the few metres to this place. I wasn't too much, I have done that many times so it was fine and definitely the most secure option.

-ding-dong-

"Ah, he is here!" I cheered, jumping up. Daisy smiled brightly next to me and Sirius waited in the kitchen. We could never be one hundred percent sure if it wasn't Aurors or Witch Watchers so he rather stayed hidden. I slowly approached the door and opened it.

There he stood.

The boy who lived.

He looked exactly liked James, just the eyes. Just the eyes were Lily's.

"Hi, I'm Harry. Am I right here?" he shyly asked, looking at me a small smile on his lips and I nodded.

"Hi, Harry. You are right. I am Mathilda, please come in," I offered and stepped to the side so he could come in. "You look exactly like James, it's just the-"

"Just the eyes, I know. I have my mother's eyes," he chuckled and I nodded. "Sorry, you probably hear this often!" "No, don't worry it is fine....So you are-?"

"My finacée," Sirius said, stepping out of the kitchen and Harry smiled form ear to ear when he saw him. "Sirius!" he beamed and approached him. They hugged for a moment before the pulled apart and smiled at each other. "You have to tell me everything about your time at Hogwarts," Harry laughed.

"Yes, I said the same. Hi Harry!" Daisy said and Harry turned towards her. "Oh, hey Daisy, right?" A crease appeared on Harry's forehead and he for a moment just stared at Daisy. "Oh, she and you and you are and Gryffindor. Daisy is your daughter. That is interesting," the young Potter boy stammered and I had to chuckle at his irritation. No worries, Harry, I would be confused too.

"Are you hungry, Harry? Probably. Please sit down at the table, all of you. Lunch is nearly ready," I said, curling an arm on Harry's shoulder. He smiled at me and I made my way over to the kitchen.

◇ ◇ ◇

We all sat around the table. Eating, chatting, smiling. Just like a big family.

"So I have a questions. Sirius is my godfather are you then my-"

"No, I am not. Your mother's best friend Marlene was your godmother. She also lost her life during the war. She was an amazing person and a great friend," I explained, swallowing hard and Sirius put a hand on mine. "She was!"

"I know you probably asked because I never wrote a letter to you, why I never visited you...but it was difficult," I started, looking at Daisy who flashed me a sad smile. Sirius and I have explained to her a lot, a lot about the war, the betrayal in the past days. She knew what had happened.

"Someone, I still don't know who, put a ban on me. They banned me from seeing you. I had no idea where you lived, how you were. Nothing. I was simply not allowed to approach you or find out where you live," I told him and his eyes went wide. "They thought it is too dangerous."

Harry had a sad look on his face and nodded. "That makes me sad. Who would put such a ban on you?" "Probably the ministry. They did not trust me for a very long time," I told him and smiled sadly. He dipped his chin, understanding.

"But I saw you at 9 3/4 in autumn last year, with the Weasley family. You are close with them aren't you. I know Arthur from the ministry," I asked Harry and his face lit up. "Yes, I spend a lot of time with them. They are like family." I was happy to hear that. Really happy, that he found happiness.

We also talked a lot about Quidditch and the upcoming world cup. Harry was as happy as Daisy too find out that we all - except for Sirius - were attending the cup. Sirius was slightly sad, but there would be more world cups we could all attend together.

We also talked a bit about Harry's life with the Dursleys. He did not share a lot but I could tell he did not really like it there. For the time being it would be too dangerous if he moved in here, if I took him in. They were looking for Sirius and knew he was his godfather. If Harry suddenly moved in with me it would lead them directly to Sirius.

The day was absolutely lovely. I blinked away a few tears when the memories of his birth came into my mind. How much Lily suffered and how happy she was. How happy James was. How much they smiled and how happy both Sirius and I were. That days back in 1980 was one of the most amazing days in my life.
