The Truth Hurts

Emily's POV

I hung up and looked at Finn.

That wasn't even a fucking answer.

"What's wrong Em?" Finn asked standing up so he could look me in the eyes,

The phone call told me nothing. They wanted me to go in and talk to them. Why?

"Emily!" Finn shouted and i snapped out and looked at him, his eyes searched mine and I could tell he was worried,

"I'm fine," I swallowed but my tears got caught in my throat so he could tell I was lying,

"Tell me,"

"No Finn I'm fine,"

"Lies,"

"Finn!" I said walking away from his side, his uni room was small so there wasn't far to move but I managed to get to the door,

"What is it Emily," he asked but this time with more power in his voice, I exhaled and looked up at him,

"I think I might be pregnant," I whispered but he heard every word, he didn't speak but I saw the words hit him hard, it was like he was frozen.

"Finn?" I asked stepping towards him but he didn't move he just looked ahead like he was in shock.

"Finn?" I said again as I got closer, he snapped out of it and swallowed,

"Yeah?" he asked but didn't look at me,

"Did you hear me?"

"Yes, yeah I heard you," he said sitting down on the bed, "Whose is it?" he muttered,

"I don't know,"

"Of course you don't!" he said sarcastically,

Ouch

"Well there are ways of finding out," I said trying to cover the wound he'd just made,

"Like what? Going to Jack and saying 'Hey bro, Em might be pregnant but the thing is, she fucked both of us so we don't know who the dad is', sounds a bit slaggy don't you think?" he snapped, that hurt.

"I'm sorry?" I asked widening my eyes, suddenly he realsied what he had said and he looked up at me in shock,

"No Em that's not what I meant,"

"No that's exactly what you meant!" I shouted, "I know it looks bad Finn. I'm scared! I'm terrified and I don't need you shouting your opinions about!" I screamed feeling my eyes overflow with tears, Finn stood up and tried to hug me,

"NO!" I screamed pushing him away with my hands but he was stronger than me, he pinned my hands down and pulled me towards him so my head was in his chest and his arms were wrapped around me, I sobbed against his shirt,

"I know baby. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it like that," he cooed against my hair, I just cried against him,

"We'll figure this out," he whispered and pulled me closer. Just as I was about to speak the door flew open.

It was Jack.

"YOU SLEPT WITH MY GIRLFRIEND!" he screamed as he entered and slammed the door behind him. Shit.

Jack's POV

*** A few hours earlier ***

"Bye," I said before closing the door on Emily. It was weird though, I didn't feel anything. I think the spark left a while ago, I was out a lot for work and she had her life apart from me, I just don't think we were ever perfect for each other.
