Chapter 8: The Gates of Olympus

The terrain is treacherous the frozen wastelands spares no one and any poor soul who dares to wander through it is never seen again and now as a war is brewing between the resistance and the mastermind the fate of the Grid will be decided.

" Be careful everyone these soldiers are not human they are cycborgs they are stronger than us and much faster"

"I got that covered I was expecting him to bust out all these guys, cover me while I set up their doom" said keith as he takes out a device from his bag

the resistance started firing on the cycborgs approaching but nothing seems to stop them so they fire stronger weapons like rpg's and grenade launchers while it hits and destroys some of the cyborgs some are able to avoid the projectiles

"Keith any time now, they are getting closer and closer" said Kid

" Don't rush me kid! this is almost done" a sarcastic keith answered

"Yeah? good because we're almost dead as well" said Kid

suddenly a cycborg grabs kid and started choking him, Kent tried to help him but he was knocked out by a swift swing of an arm from the cyborg

" eat this" said kid sticking one of his exploding arrows in the cycborgs head causing it to let him go and kid ducked for cover as the arrow blew off its head

the cycborgs are too many and they are just killing a handful and they are about to get crushed when suddenly keith cries out

" Take Cover now!!!!" shouted keith

they all head for the nearest cover as keith activated his device and all of a sudden a strong EMP wave surged through the land frying the chips of the cyborgs and rendering them useless

"Are they all dead?" asked kid

" For now yes, but I know how zeus thinks he might have more of them" said keith

"Then fire up device again so we can kill every single one of them" said Kid

"I wish I can but that device can only fire one massive EMP blast and then it breaks" said keith

" What so we are going to be sitting ducks here?" asked Kid

"enough kid that is not helping anybody at the moment lets just get moving while the coast is clear besides zeus escaped already" said kent

Kid nodded and did as he was told and as they enter olympus they were welcomed by a puzzle as there are a lot of doors in front of them each one leading to a path

"this is the corridor its designed as a puzzle no one usually solves it and they end up lost forever of course those no one's didn't have me " said agatha

"so where do we go now? there are alot of choices here I just want to get to the core already and get this over with" said Kid

"We don't go to any of those doors lets go left" agatha said

so they followed agatha and at the side wall she reached for a lever and pulled it and suddenly the floor they are standing on started going down

"I see one part of the floor is an elevator, thats clever" said kid

when they reached the bottom floor they put on their radiation suits then they walked through a dark hall entered a door and inside their eyes was stabbed by a blinding light

"why is it so bright here? I can't see anything" said kid

"I equipped your suits with a dark tinted glass visor as agatha requested so bring down your visors now" said james the tech master
