Xander's POV:

I skipped the rest of school today.

I can't believe I did that.

My Dad texted me earlier and I took it out on her.

It wasn't fair, but the nerve of my Dad.

I have a restraining order now.

I don't know if I'll tell Nick or not.

He'll report it for sure.

I decided to just walk home, but Drew saw me and pulled up.

He sighed.

"Hop in."

I sat in the back cause she was already in the front.

I guess they called to have her picked up.

She looked scared again.

"So why are you not in class Xander?" Drew asked.

"I don't wanna talk about it."

"Well kiddo I heard you were talking in sign language. That's great, wanna tell me your name? I learned the alphabet in 2nd grade." He said with a smile.

She didn't respond in any kind of way.

He sighed again.

"So I vote ice cream and McDonalds?"

"Sure." I said.

She didn't respond.

"What about you kiddo? Sound good?"

She glanced back at me and then turned to him and nodded a little.

"Perfect. Kiddo have you been to McDonalds?"

She shook her head.

She hasn't even had McDonalds?

The guilt is growing in my stomach.

Drew got her chicken nuggets and we were off to the ice cream shop.

We all got chocolate and she is the cleanest eater I have ever seen.

She only ate like 3 chicken nuggets and a few bites of her ice cream.

She did not like the Pop.

Like at all.

When we got home everyone was already there.

"How did we beat you guys home?"

"We went for food and ice cream."

"I was worried. You couldn't have texted?" Nick said frustrated.

She looked down and started to get nervous.

Nick took a deep breathe.

"Ok Zero filled me in. Garren are coming over. Kiddo can I talk to you?"

She followed him to the other room.
