So are your thoughts
If anyone tells you otherwise
Remind them that they're the ones
With no life at all.
It is today
That you will work harder

That you'll prove the haters wrong.
No matter who you are,
No matter where you are
No matter what you identify as
No matter which God you believe in
No matter which colour or race you are
No matter what your class is
Remember that you are valid
So is your voice
So are your opinions
Your emotions are valid
And so are your dreams.
No one has the right
To tell you that
You don't belong
No one has the right
To push you down
No one has the right
To walk all over you
And no one has the right
To invalidate you.
You are you,
Just you.
You don't have to be
The perfect child
You don't have to be
The model student
You don't have to be
The best in the room
And you definitely don't have to be
The one which others expect you to be.
Because at the end of the day,
It's just gonna be you
And you alone.
So, be yourself
And be true to your inner self.
At the end, that is all that will ever matter
