Francy's p.o.v
He had driven to the devil's den and I walked in there, knowing this was one fight I was ready to win. There was not going to be an understanding on my side. I was not going to calm down and rationally talk. Not today. Not after I was provoked like this.
I pressed the pin code on the door and then slammed the door shut behind me, knowing damn well he was few steps behind me.
The house was completely silent.
He got in and closed the door behind him. In a calm manner, he kicked off his shoes and ambled slowly in the living room.
He tossed the keys aimlessly on the couch letting out a long irritated sigh.
I was just waiting for him to start. Go on. Start it.
He finally broke the silence. "You want to tell me what the fuck happened? How long have you known about it and why didn't you say anything?"
I took a slow step towards him. "Are you questioning me right now? Cause I should be playing cops here. What have you been doing that led her on like this? Hm? Do you let her hug you like that all the time?"
He was still glaring at me.
I narrowed my eyes glaring back at him. "Going to her house, playing besties with her and not once noticing she might have feelings for you?"
He threw his hands in the air baffled. "How would I know Francy? No, she did not hug me all the time or confessed her feelings for me. She acted like a human being around me. No more, no less. Why would you even insinuate I would lead her on?"
I opened my mouth to argue, but he cut me off. "And if you knew, why didn't you say anything about it?"
Explaining to him that I did it for him, and so Halo doesn't quit the competition, would be futile right now, considering what I did today. I changed the subject back to the point.
"How dare you let her hug you like that and tell me you had not even the slightest clue she might like you?!"
He was silent for a second.
"Oh, so it had crossed your mind."
Of course, that thought might have lingered at the back of his mind. Anger seeped through me. I took a step closer poking his chest. "I had to listen to her ramble on, how she understands you, how she knows your past, how you two are so much more compatible than me."
He was silent and then like a lightning flash, he crossed his arms. "What about you and Tim? Since when are you two so close, that he calls you randomly on the phone just to talk to you? I was not even aware you two were close friends."
I raised my hand to stop him right there. "Tim did not tell you to your face he thinks I can do better."
He paused and then added, "Well, he didn't have to when you stabbed me in the back willingly.!"
