EVER SINCE SHE was a child, Melissa Woodville had had visions — or, as her mother liked to call them — "seeings". She would get glimpses of the future, small happenstances that concerned her family, events that somehow always came true despite the obstacles that seemed to be in front of them. In her minds' eye, she had constructed a whole new world, towers of information and sentinels that could surely tell stories if, indeed, they actually existed. But they didn't, and no one — bar her mother — knew of Melissa's unique talent.
SO, WHEN THE red-head started dreaming of a battle between a "Henry Tudor" and a "King Richard," one of whom was a mere toddler at the moment and the other of whom she had no given knowledge of, Melissa knew it was no simple joke. This was the future, and her family was somehow involved in it. How? She didn't know. But to her, it looked like a grievous battle, one where not many people survived, and if her intuition was correct, her loved ones could be among the dead bodies littering the soil of Bosworth Field.
BUT THEY WOULDN'T be. Not if she had anything to say about it. Now ... how to stop a whole battle from happening? It seemed a nigh on impossible task. Good thing, Melissa was an impossible girl, herself.
