Chapter 8

On Wednesday, the animal crew was leading the class across campus towards the dining hall because it was noon.

"So, I've got our dresses chosen, and they're traditional Chinese outfits," Marinette said.

"They're obviously gonna be amazing," Juleka said.

"So, everyone has a date?" Chloe asked. "Right?"

"I think so," Alya replied. "I'm going with Nino."

"I'm going with Felix," Marinette said.

"I'm going with Luka," Chloe said. "Juleka, are you going with Rose?"

"Yeah, we reconciled Monday," Juleka replied.

"Daniel's going with Kagami," Marinette said. "And Peter's going with Mary."

"Who's Mary?" Alya asked.

"She's a noble. I'm pretty sure she's from England," Chloe said.

"Do you think they're gonna start dating?" Juleka asked.

"I don't think so. I'm pretty sure she's dating Marcus from etiquette class. But he's not able to make it so Peter's taking her," Marinette explained.

"Does that mean the animal crew is finally even?" Alya asked.

"Well, Kagami starts here tomorrow, making it official, so..." Chloe started. "That's ten, so yeah it's even."

"That means Peter has someone to take on his back!" Marinette announced.

"I heard that!" Peter called, making everyone laugh.

"Just be thankful for me helping you," Marinette replied.

"Ha ha," Peter said sarcastically.

"Come on you two, let's just go get lunch," Felix commented.

Peter and Marinette glared at each other one last time before saying, "Fine," in unison.

Once they reached the dining hall, the class and the animal crew split apart, like normal. The animal crew went to their normal table while the class went to their table in a corner, where they mainly watched the animal crew.

"So, is there anything I should know about the dance?" Alya asked.

"Well, there's going to be a dance queen, as always. And it's obviously gonna be Marinette again. She's gotten the last 56 crowns," Nino replied.

"What?" Alya practically screamed. "You're that famous in this school?"

"Yep!" "Yeah!" and other replies were shouted throughout the dining hall by almost all the students.

"Zhi Ruo is the best!" "We love her!" "She's the best student!" "And the best friend!" "She's amazing!" and more things were yelled.

"Aww, thank you guys!" Marinette said and smiled at all her friends and such.

"So, what's next on the event list, Zhi?" asked one student.

"Well, I was thinking a dance but I've changed my mind. How about a movie night on the field? Then a huge bowling night afterwards where we stay up all night?" Marinette asked.

There were shouts of happiness and such between all the students.

"Alrighty, I'll get planning!" Marinette exclaimed and there were cheers. "Love you all!"

"We love you too Zhi!" the students replied.

"And this isn't even all the students," Daniel said, rolling his eyes slightly. "This is just one of the thirty-five dining halls and this is just one period of high school seniors."

"Thirty-five?" Alya asked.

"Yep, but this one's our favorite. The chef is the nicest," Chloe said.
