is it just me or do you want to do everything? i quit band this year to do choir but i want to join band again and also do choir and also doing color guard would be cool

(but i most likely wont do color guard so...maybe i can get a color guard girlfriend </3 (or winter guard))

i also want to be an author but also a musician but also genuinely want to play esports or do youtube or twitch or something

I WANT TOO MANY THINGS :(

Kajal was woken up by repetitive buzzing to their phone. 

Normally, they would just ignore it and go back to sleep. Any problems between the hours of 12 and 8 AM were between the person and the problems.

But there were very few people that Kajal had unmuted on Discord or iMessage, so they decided to sacrifice their sleep to check their phone.

The screen lit up, blinding Kajal for a good few seconds before they could focus on the words upon the screen. 

3:17 AM

What the fuck.

The messages were from Wilbur. 

Kajal knew they were in different time zones, but what the fuck.

wilbur: i'm no organ donor, but i'd be happy to give you my heart

wilbur: i would take you to the movies, but they dont let me bring snacks in

wilbur: sorry that one was a little weird

wilbur: i'm no electrician, but i can light up your day

YOU: it's 3am

wilbur: why are you awake

YOU: fucking woke me up

wilbur: wait really? sorry

YOU: its ok i wasnt really asleep

Kajal winced at the lie, hoping Wilbur couldn't tell.

wilbur: nice try, thank you

wilbur: do you like me lines :)

YOU: Do Better

YOU: actually the first one isnt bad

wilbur: YES

YOU: im changing my mind just for that

wilbur: :(

YOU: whatever

Kajal squinted in irritation as another notification broke through their mutes.

just chatting because you and i are Just Chatting (for now)

They sighed in false annoyance even as a smile played across their lips. (Who were they fooling? It was 3am and they lived alone, save for their cat.)

YOU: there is no (for now)

wilbur: there is :(

YOU: i'll leave you to your dreams then

wilbur: i will literally leave you to your dreams, you should go back to sleep :)

YOU: fine

YOU: but not because you said so

wilbur: :D

The 'Starting Soon' screen blinked out of existence and there sat Wilbur, stupid smile on his face and fidget in his hand. The fidget cube that was usually there at some point, the one he was always pressing buttons on.

Kajal squinted, reaching over to their nightstand and taking a sip of their water. The stream was left running while Kajal closed their eyes, ready to fall asleep and completely tune out Wilbur (but also leaving the stream running because...channel points).

The last thing Kajal registered hearing before falling asleep was Wilbur's stupidly nice-sounding voice saying,

"Night night,  EST viewer. I think EST, it's 3am in EST, right? Yeah. EST."

Kajal woke up to a Tubbo stream, which they didn't mind because, well, big fuckin' fan. Not quite as big of a fan of Tubbo as they were of Wilbur, but still.

With Tubbo cussing up a storm playing as background noise, Kajal stood up and stretched to get ready for the day. A random snippet of something they were certain Wilbur had said before they'd fallen asleep floated to mind: some people stretch like cats when they wake up and it's quite endearing.

There had been an air of humor to Wilbur's voice. A slight emphasis on 'cats' and a higher pitch on 'quite'. Kajal could hear it clearly.

They pulled out their phone and texted,

YOU: i personally only stretch like a cat cause my cat does

The response was immediate (Had Wilbur even slept? It was like noon or something there). 

wilbur: WHY WERE YOU AWAKE WHEN I SAID THAT IT SHOULD'VE BEEN LIKE 4AM OR SOMETHING

What?

YOU: no i fell asleep like thirty seconds after you started???

wilbur: but i said that while playing minecraft like an hour later

wilbur: mx kage

wilbur: DID YOU HEAR ME IN YOUR SLEEP :)))))))

YOU: no

YOU: wtf

YOU: is that even possible

wilbur: probably

wilbur: this means we are soulmate, kage :)))))

YOU: man fuck you

YOU: aint even got shame

wilbur: why would i be ashamed of this :D

Okay, that was kind of cute.

Kajal laughed to themself.
