chapter 3

Y/n's pov :

i woke up to screaming .

"vampires !" someone yelled .

i woke up when dad burst in my room . "Y/n ! get up ! we're under attack ! go to Lorenzo !" he yelled .

"how about you dad ?!" i asked .

"please honey , just go ! Lorenzo will protect you" dad demanded .

i hugged him . "if anything happens , i love you dad"

"i love you too , now go" he said pushing me out of my room .

i ran all around the house and when i found Lorenzo , i jumped into his arms .

"you're okay" he whispered , hugging me .

"yeah , are you ?" i said , examining his face .

"i'm better now , knowing you're safe" he smiled , checking my face for any injuries .

"i thought they got you" i whispered , hugging him close .

"me ? never . now let's go find a place to hide-" i crash interrupted both of us .

then , three vampires surrounded us . it tried to go after me but luckily , i was fast enough to dodge it .

he went for me again but this time , i grabbed him by the neck and ripped his head off .

after dealing with another one , i turned to see if Lorenzo was okay but he was lying on the floor , unconscious .

"Enzo !" i cried , rushing to his body .

luckily he was still breathing .

suddenly , i felt a presence behind me and when i turned to look behind , i saw a vampire behind me .

that was all i remember before my whole world went black .

several hours later

i woke up with a pounding headache .

then i remembered what happened and looked around for Lorenzo .

thankfully , he was right beside me . i sighed in relief and moved closer to him .

a few minutes later , he woke up .

he looked around and when his eyes landed on me , he immediately engulfed me in a huge bear hug .

"oh thank goddess you're okay" he whispered , nuzzling his face into my neck .

"i'm okay , but what about you ?" i asked , pulling away so i can inspect his face .

"i'm fine , little one" he smiled .

"Enzo , we talked about this" i pouted .

he chuckled and kissed my forehead .

"looks like the mutts are awake" someone chuckled .

we turned around to see two vampires , smirking down at us .

Enzo , being the protective big brother that he is , moved me behind him and growled at the vampires .

"wait until our king sees you , how pathetic you are" one chuckled .

"stay away from us" Enzo growled .

the two vampires just scoffed and walked away .

a few minutes later , i smelled the most delicious smell i've ever smelt in my entire life .

it smelt of berries , vanilla and a hint of burning wood .

it kept getting stronger until my eyes landed on this extremely attractive male .

he's 6'3 . has soft , fluffy looking raven hair , the body of a greek god , green eyes and sort of pale .

"mate" i whispered under my breath .

i guess he could hear me because he turned to me and his eyes widened in shock .

"beloved"

what did he say ?!
