I rubbed Kawaki's back.

He's in a state of shock

I reach for my pocket and take out a small blue marble I roll it down the floor and it hides behind the counter

Sarada ran to us and tried to grab Kawaki's shoulder but was stopped by me grabbing her wrist

"Don't touch him"

Medical ninjas arrived and took the injured ones away

Mitsuki and Boruto ran towards us as well

"What happened here!?"

Kawaki and I stood up "It was Jigen"

"They took Naruto away as well" I added

Kawaki walked forward "Hey! Where are you going!?" Boruto asked "Isn't it obvious? I'm going to look for them"

"Do you have any leads?"

Silence

If Jigen can teleport here using Kawaki's Karma, then does that mean we can also use his Karma to get where Naruto and Jigen are? There's a high chance of that but...

I look over at Kawaki who was pacing back and forth while holding a picture

It's a big risk, the 4 of us are nothing against Jigen, and I can't have Kawaki getting captured, or worse killed.

Kawaki's robotic arm fell

Is Naruto..?

I ran towards Kawaki, before I could get a hold of him, we both were captured by the shadow paralysis

Shikamaru demanded us to tell him what happened but we both kept quiet

A sudden barrier appeared

Shikamaru told some of the ninjas to find clues of the enemy and Naruto

If they find the marble, I'm done for

I sighed

They didn't find it, good

"Kawaki, Y/n, are you deceiving us?" Shikamaru asked

"Huh!?" Boruto yelled

Shikamaru placed a hand on his hip "I'm going to be honest, I don't trust you both, I never had since the beginning"

"Why are you-"

"Boruto" I cut him off "He's right, be reasonable here, we could be faking all this maybe even.." I glanced at Shikamaru "Planning to destroy the village when you least expect it"

"But-"

"Just because we "care" about Naruto's safety doesn't mean we can be trusted, use your brain for once"

"So tell me..." Shikamaru lowered his head, a shadow casting down his eyes "Are you a spy that works for Kara?"

I stayed quiet for a few seconds before responding

"No"

Shikamaru looked around and told me, well US that we'd be held inside the barrier until there was prove that we weren't spys

Boruto is a stubborn kid, or dumb, maybe both, he trusts people too easily, it'll get him killed one day

Boruto kept trying to convince Shikamaru that we weren't the bad guys and all

Kawaki's robotic arm flowed with chakra again letting us know that Naruto was still alive

I took Kawaki's hand in mine

"What are you-"

"Activate your Karma"

He did what I told him to and a portal opened

"How did you-"

I tapped his forehead "Use your brain once in a while" I said with a small smile

He smiled back and gripped my hand and I couldn't help but feel warm

I absorbed the jutsu Shikamaru tried using on us to prevent him from ruining the moment I was having

Mitsuki took Boruto and Sarada inside while Kawaki and I waited a few seconds

"I'll prove to you we're not spys" he said as he entered the portal pulling me in as well,my happy face turned into a serious one as I locked eyes with Shikamaru

I looked around inspecting my surroundings until my eyes landed on my hand.

Our hands, we both quickly let go and avoid each other's gaze

Until I realized

"Kawaki this is Bo-"

"Who the hell are you guys? Your not Uchiha Sasuke" Boro said

His gaze landed on us "If it isn't Lady Y/n and Kawaki"

Boro, he's never done any harm to me, or ever talked down on me, but he never did anything to stop it either

"Is that Jigen?"

I shook my head "He's Boro, one of the inners in Kara, also a cult leader"

"You're looking quite well Lady Y/n, I hope Kawaki hasn't been a bad influence on you"

I slightly bowed my head "I've taught the boy manners"

"Where's Naruto?" I asked keeping my voice gentle

Boro only laughed

"Did you not hear her!? I guess we'll just need to force the answers out of you"

Boro laughed again "You both never wag your tail to anyone" Boro picked up a black sphere "Yet it seems Kawaki has warmed up alot to this guy"

He threw it at us and told us not to force it open

I picked up Kawaki and took him to High ground as acid came in like waves

"Watch your back, and don't charge in recklessly" I whispered

I won't be with you forever

I only watched as they fought one another, something about Boro kneeling down in front of Boruto reminded me of Pain and Naruto

I picked up Kawaki and jumped away from the mist..

"Why are you running away.?"

I hit the back of his head "I told you not to charge in so recklessly, if you die Naruto dies cause once you die I'm getting out of here"

I watched how Sarada fought against Boro, she's a capable girl that's for sure

She started struggling but I didn't bother helping

I'm in the need of some Uchiha blood anyways

Boruto and Kawaki appeared and knocked Boro down to the ground

"Hey Y/n-san!" Boruto yelled

San? Well that's new

"It's our first victory as team 7! What do you think?"

I clapped my hands

"No, victory isn't ours yet"
