All I wanted after everything happened was to go back to work. My parents wouldn't let me go for months but, I finally went back eventually. It was hard. Everyone I told, told me I wasn't allowed to speak about it. I couldn't warn people?! People telling me that I wasn't allowed to talk about it made me try to hide it. I made jokes a lot to cope, but it didn't help. Do not let people tell you that you aren't allowed to use your voice. The reason I wrote this story is to show people that you are allowed to speak about it. This is YOUR story, and it is YOUR truth.
